Hi,

when I try to launch a couple of specific programs (spybot, adware
they appear to start (in that they show in the 'processes' window of th
Windows task Manager (ctrl+alt+del)), but nothing else happens.. n
launch panel nothing, although the 'processes' panel shows they ar
using a significant amount of 'mem usage'. I have tried downloadin
newer versions and installing them but the same happens?

Can anyone say what is happening and how I can rectify this problem?

Thanks

William.

PS, in appropo of SP3, i have got 'access denied' msgs, still, on th
4th try... You would think that Microsoft would have a much easie
solution than the one they provide wouldn't you? They just don't car
about their users. Roll on: 'Cloud' technology, browsers having thei
own built in operating systems and bye-bye: Microsoft, office and th
whole panoply of their software, together with their non-existen
details of their fixes, (and whether we want to implement them or not
and all the assumptions MS make about their users....

You're not thinking straight. Did it ever occur to you that it is NOT a
Microsofts problem?

Do yourself a favor and ditch the klutzy web interface. Instead, read
newsgroups the /man's/ way: with a newsreader.

"Do yourself a favor"

What a wonderful turn of phrase....

and we spell favor as favour....

However if I understood what you meant, I might be able to "do myself
favour"

Can anybody translate?

And where did Mr. Unknown go?

And I only asked for help...

Willia
