I was conducting a Netmeeting session with a remote Windows XP laptop user
last Friday. After our session was over their keyboard would only type
gibberish. Rebooting did not help. I set up another Netmeeting this morning
and without doing anything other than setting up the meeting the problem went
away. I had the user power cycle the laptop and the problem returned. Once
again we set up the Netmeeting and the problem was resolved.

Does anyone know what causes this and how it can be resolved?

Activate the On-Screen keyboard if needed for navigation, and when the user
restarts, they can use device manager to uninstall and rescan for the
keyboard driver.
