I have been dealing with this problem for a while now. EVERYTIME I use
Outlook 07 it will not allow me to open a message, create a new message, or
view my contacts. I constantly get the error message "Microsoft Office
Outlook has encoutered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience" If you were in the middle of something, the information you
were working on migth be lost. Then it has a check box to "restart Microsoft
Office Outlook". I have run microsoft diagnostic tool and it was even
suggest to open in safe mode but I did not know what to look for there???
Any solutions???

The Office files are probably OK, though the entry in Add or Remove will
offer a "Repair"
I think it more likely that you have a corrupt message store (usually called
'Outlook.PST') I would create a new store with the Options dialog. If that
works, there are data recovery tools you can try.

How do I make these changes?? I see a toggle box that say "change folder" and
I can see the path to get to the 'Outlook.PST'...but it does not give me the
option to delete that one and create another. A little more information
please.

You close Outlook and other Office apps, move the current .PST elsewhere for
safekeeping, and open Outlook to "Add" a 'Personal Folders.pst. Any PST in
that folder is visible in Outlook.
