When I run Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer it does not detect my =
valid Windows XP Pro Operating System. I have no problems using Windows =
Update. Does anyone know why the Analyzer does not detect the OS? What =
is it checking?

Did you set the system to Classic View ?

Did a google on Classic View; what I have for my Windows XP Pro OS is:
desktop themes: classic view
start menu: NOT set for classic start menu view
folder options: tasks do NOT use windows classic folders

Does this mean anything? - it's sorta Greek/Geek to me...
