A week or so ago, I did a "Respawn" on my Alienware box. Since then I find
that when I open the Help and Support page for any reason, the "Did You Know"
section tells me I'm not connected to the internet. I have Cable/ always on
internet and have no problems connecting anyplace else but this page. Any
ideas?

By "Respawn" - do you mean a clean installation from the installation media
or some sort of application of an image?

Hi,
My computer came with a 2 disc process to erase the data on the hard drive
and then restore the computer drive to the exact state it was in as it was
shipped to me. It was not a re install with an XP system disc. Hope that
answers your question, and thanks for responding!

Reinstall cable - because the system is back to factory specs ?

I tried that, even tho I have no problem accessing the internet on my own.
It's just on the Start> Help and Support page where the problem is. On that
page, the last line of text has the heading: "Did You Know?"...and the page
is supposed to retrieve any new tips and advice from the Microsoft site. In
stead it tells me that it will do the above WHEN I am connected to the
internet, which I already am! It seems that this feature somehow can't
recognize that the computer is connected to the net.
Thanks for posting!
