I get this message when attempting to install setup.exe for a simple
application designed for my job, and can get no further. It doesn't matter
if I try the install from a CD, from a copy of it on my computer, or by doing
a run as. The CD is not faulty because I can install the application on
others' computers, just not mine. I even tried adding this particular
setup.exe as an exception to the "data execution prevention (DEP) in
performance setting; still won't install. If anyone has ever gotten this
message and figured out how to get around it, I sure would appreciate hearing
from you. Thanks!

Resetting Permissions might be worth a shot.
