Is anyone having problems running Diskeeperâ??s Undelete package (build 127)
with XP pro SP3? Iâ??m getting the Undelete error message â??Local Server
Connection Failedâ?? when the RecoveryBin is accessed. The Undelete Service
(udserve.exe) is running and getting through the firewall.

I think the problem may have something to do with the addition of Network
Access
Protection (NAP) to sp3, even though I'm running as a standalone
workstation. Iâ??m working with Diskeeper to resolve the problem, but hearing
from anyone who may share this problem might be helpful.

Thank you for your feedback.

Definitely a compatibility problem there. I tried reinstalling undelete and
got a message box that said it was not compatible with this version of
windows.

Thanks Bud. Undelete Professional (Build 127, the latest released) doesn't
work, but Build 117 (an earlier build I had loaded) does work with SP3. Here
is what I did by way of trial and error:

* I uninstalled all Undelete workstation and professional versions using
Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel.

*I deleted all registry groups and keys referring to Undelete using
regedit.exe.

* reinstalled Undelete Workstation 3, a qualified version, to be able to
reinstall the upgrade version of Undelete Professional 5.0.117.

* I retrained my Firewall to handle Udserve.exe, the Undelete Service which
runs in the background.
