Yes. Set the WMI service to Automatic. There are lot of Windows =
components that use WMI. Windows Firewall wouldn't start if WMI is =
turned off.

firewall automatically. Perhaps you can contact Symantec support =

The Network Connections service has the "Startup Type" as "Manual" and =

Oh, I do have a Norton (Symantec) Firewall. Could this be causing the=20
problem? I can't find any way to get access to it. I'm not renewing my =
subscription, and it runs out in two months. Will it automatically be=20
removed on the ending date or would I need to remove it? If so, could =

tell me how to do it or would I have to contact Symantec?
