While rebooting after the initial installation of SP3 I got:

BAD_POOL_CALLER
0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000cd4, 0x0210000d, 0x8910b5e8)

This was well after the installation had completed, and well into my
userid logon sequence.

A second reboot fixed the problem. The BSOD said that it had taken a
dump. I can find this if anyone is interested.

Some MVPs in these MS Windows XP NGs are already recommending rebooting
twice after installing SP3. Maybe this practice would address this issue.
I hope that is the only problem you encounter.

Well, almost. I now have a "Show Desktop" icon at the right-hand end of
my "Quick Start" bar, and I'm fairly sure it wasn't there yesterday. :-)

This is the sort of problem I like - the ones I can fix myself!

Incidentally, this post should serve to benefit some readers. If I'm
carping about the position of the "Show Desktop" icon in my startbar
then clearly all's well in the post SP3 world.
I usually wait until I find people griping about spelling errors in the
help files before I install updates.
