if i try to get into EVENT VIEWER, COMPUTER MANAGEMENT, COMPONMENT SERVICES,
MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 1.1 (configuration), PERFORMANCE, SERVICES.
MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 1.1 (wizards)(...IS OK...)

A message comes up
C:/WINDOWS/system32/ .msc
the archive is either in unknown format or damaged.

Can someone help me out, and give me some advice on what i can do to make
this right again, or what it is that has caused this. i appreciate any advice
any one can give me.
also i cant open and read chm files where do i get the software to open that.

Install xp cd,exit the menu page,go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow
When its thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,type:EXIT Remove xp cd,
restart pc.

I'm sorry but you're really going to need an actual operating system disk to
make repairs. You can borrow one from a friend as long as it matches the
version/flavor of XP installed on your computer; i.e., XP Pro/Home/MCE
retail/OEM. If this is out of the question, take the machine to a local
computer professional. This will not be someone from
BigComputerStore/GeekSquad. Get recommendations from family, friends,
colleagues.

If your copy of WindowsXP was genuine, you can get a replacement from MS.
You'll need your Key Code, you can get it this way:
