Error message after you install a Windows Internet Explorer 7 update from Windows Update
or from Microsoft Update: "Webpage cannot be displayed"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942818
This problem may occur because the file signatures for the core Windows Internet Explorer
7 files may be changed when the update is installed. If a third-party security program is
installed on the computer, that program may then block the updated version of Windows
Internet Explorer 7 from accessing the Internet.

| I'm running IE7 with Windows XP.
| I was away for a week 3/28/08 to 4/4/08 and left my system on since I
| returned I am unable to open some web sites that I have been using in the
| past. I get the error message stating IE cannot display the webpage. this
| only happens on some sites. In some cases I am able get to the web site OK
| but when I try to access my accounts it fails. I have called the Account
| company's and they can access the account without error, indicating the
| problem is my system. Has IE 7 been updated while I was away and causing
| this problem?
