Hi
I know how to clear used documents from the list in the task bar, but is
there any way of doing this automatically, perhaps on shutdown, without
using 3rd party software?
Thanks for reading this.

Hi Richard,

Clear Recent Documents When Windows Exits:

(This also clears the MRU listing in the Run dialog)

Tells you how to set the policy on the number of items listed in the
recent docs list, clear the list on exit, and even if you don't want to
have the list. You use the group policy editor (gpedit.msc) rather than
dig around in the registry itself using regedit.exe.

Thanks you very much for the information. I have implemented it, and now the
documents list is empty whenever I start up.
Thanks again for your help and time.

Richard
