Fax problems - Unable to answer as Fax call

Hi Guys,

On a server I maintain, the fax seems to have stopped functioning - giving
the error 'Unable to answer as a fax call'. I tried swapping out the internal
modem for a USB US robotics modem and I'm still getting a problem. Could this
be a line fault or am I doing something wrong?

I've changed the amount of rings to 3 and changed the Baud rate, updated the
drivers but still exactly the same.

Any suggestions?

Are your VOIP at the place?

and Grab your old fax machine from the closet.
( I still have mine for trouble-shooting like this.)

And Does a Regular Fax Machine work?
If not call the phone company and see what's up

Hi Ry,

USB fax modems don't play nice on a server. Look for an external serial
business class fax modem.
