I am not sure where I need to start making changes? I added ipconfig ans

Yes.
Port 25 is not responding on the IP you mention. Did you forward port 25 in
your router/firewall the the internal IP of your server?

my router is my default gateway and that is where port 25 is open on
192.168.27.2
the server is differant subset.

Is this the problem? i was told to make them differant. I telnet my ip
address on port 25 and it appears to work.

I believe it is time to call in an I.T. specialist. Based on your
responses, I don't think you have the networking experience to fully resolve
this issue on your own, and other problems will occur.

Microsoft has a small business specialist program whose members are
experienced in doing this kind of setup. You can find one in your area from
the Microsoft website here:

http://www.microsoft.com/smallbusiness/support/technical-overview.aspx#selfsupport

This is for the U.S., but you can change locations from this page to search
elsewhere based on your location.
