PLAN B:
=======
This is not an "Official" Microsoft solution but it works in joining a SBS
server to an existing domain.
The official way would be to do an install on the new server and migrate
the information.
Renaming of the 2003 server, to the original name, has not been tested and
thus should not be done at this time.
For this to work, use the following steps:
1. Install Windows 2003 Server using the SBS 2003 media.
2. Run ADPrep and DomainPrep on the SBS 2000 server. (Q325379 has the
syntax)
2a. Use static IP address
2b. Configure new server DNS to point to DNS used by the existing Active
Directory.
2c. Make new Windows 2003 server a member of the existing domain.
3. Run DCPromo on the new server. Make server a DC in existing domain. Do
not create a new domain or child domain.
4. Make new server an AD Global Catalog Server

5. Move FSMO roles to new server:

User Interface

6. Move Site License Server

6a. Copy any data that you need off of the SBS 2000 server to this new
server. (ie Exchange databases)
6b. Take the original SBS 2000 server off of the network.
7. Remove any references of Exchange 2000 from the active directory.

8. Use NTDSUtil to remove any reference of the first domain controller.
(Q216498)

9. Run SBS Setup from CD1
10. Move DNS, DHCP, WINS to this new SBS server.
11. Complete SBS ToDo List - Specifically run the CEICW
