Anyone know where the anti-spam 'Approved Senders' list is stored? I would
like to give a manager user access to edit these without having to involve
the system administrator every time.

Thx,
Nick

Thanks Merv but that was the old version, forgot to say that this is CSM for
SMB 3.0; its all different. Everything is now configured via the 'Security
Dashboard' web interface.

Assuming you have Trend 5.0
have him go to from his desktop

https://server.yourdomain.lan:4343/SMB/console/html/cgi/cgiChkMasterPwd.exe

Give him the Trend Admin Password

Security Settings TAB
Click once on the Mail Server (Bottom Icon usually with the name of your SBS
box)
Click on "Configure"

Click on Anti-Spam
Content Filtering.
Then on the right Expand
Approved Senders
Block Senders

Sorry I forgot to add this first.

First IMO you should upgrade to 3.6
then upgrade to 5.0

Download it HERE!

Russ,

Actually just checked and they are running 3.6. Only upgraded this site to
this recently so unless 5.0 provides any substantial features I would have
difficulty justifying this from a downtime point of view.

Russ,

Yes can do the same thing in 3.6 but this is so a user can maintain the
list, I would prefer not to give them the console admin password.

Downtime is minimal
Takes about 1 hr to install and it does shut off IIS and Exchange Services.
but not for the whole time.

Due to the Viruses that are coming out with Websites.
and the additional feature to stop these "threats" with 5.0...

Plus Behavior Monitoring to make sure if they do get by,
you are aware of the changes it's trying to do to your system.
I think it's easy VERY to justify it...

In fact I urge everyone reading this to upgrade and configure.

The additional features you don't like?
Disable until you are happy with them...

Here is some more info.
=======================================
2. What's New

The following new features are available in Worry-Free Business
Security Advanced 5.0:

Security Server
o Location Awareness
o Threat Status
o Plug-in Manager
o User Interface

Client/Server Security Agent (CSA)
o Support for Windows Vista/Server 2008 32-bit and 64-bit
o Behavior Monitoring
o Web Reputation Services
o Instant Message Content Filtering
o Software Protection
o POP3 Mail Scan
o TrendSecure
o Plug-in Manager Support
o User Interface
o Anti-Spam Toolbar

Messaging Security Agent (MSA)
o Email Reputation

I don't think this file was designed to be modified outside the program

I can't find any raw text file per say
(But then again I didn't expect to.)

Maybe write to Trend support
and they may have a way for you to do this.

???
Sorry

Russ
PS if the user is trusted to add remove trusted emails, can't they be
trusted in the admin console of trend???

I found the whitelist feature didn't actually change trends habit of
classifying mail as spam anyway. -But good luck.
