Hello Kevin,
Thank you for your post.
My name is Robbin Meng, and it is my pleasure to work with you on this
issue!
Please allow me to confirm that my understandings are correct. As I
understand it, the issue is:
After you removed ISA 2000 off of the SBS2003 Server, you can RWW to access
the SBS server or the client workstations, however, when you authenticate
and pick a remote computer you want to go, the connection is a long pause
and error message appears later. RWW inside the domain works, but not
outside the domain.
If I have misunderstood your concerns please feel free to let me know.
Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can
resolve this issue:
Step 1: Since you can run RWW from inside the domain, not outside the
domain, let's see if the 4125 port is blocked by the Basic Firewall on RRAS.
Check the RRAS(Routing and Remote Access) settings
a) Open Server Management and navigate to the Routing and Remote Access
snap-in.
b) Right-click NAT/Basic Firewall under IP Routing and select Properties.
c) Click Services and Ports.
d) Verify Remote Web Workplace is listed. If not, you can manually open TCP
port 4125 at RRAS.
Please check if the RWW is working now. If not, go on with step 2.
Step 2: Verify TCP port 4125 is forwarded from your upstream
router/firewall to SBS:
If the issue persists, please check if the Port 4125 on your router(if any)
has been forwarded to your SBS server. Please contact the router support
for more information. By the way, I would like to suggest that you disable
any third party firewall on the SBS server as a test.

If we cannot resolve the issue after we perform the above steps, please
help me collect some information for further investigation:
Information Need
==============
1. If you still get the error, run CEICW to see if there is any related
error. If you do not have special concerns, please paste out the ICW log
(C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business
Server\Support\icwlog.txt file) and send it to me for further
troubleshooting.
2. Gather MPS network report on SBS:
a. Download MPSrepot_network from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE
b. Run MPSRPT_NETWORK.exe.
c. Try to access OWA from outside, wait until the error occurs.
d. The tool will automatically collect the information. This procedure will
take 10~15 minutes.
e. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder:
%SystemRoot%\MPSReports\Network\Reports\Cab\
f. Send the .cab file directly to me at v-robmen@microsoft.com .
Hope this helps. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know.
Thank you for your time and cooperation!
Best regards,
Robbin Meng(MSFT)
