After a server crash and subsequent running of CHKDSK (which found a few
index errors and repaired the usn journal) the text on the Company web site
and the HTML sections of the Windows 2003 SBS Management Console is very
small and almost unreadable. The server seems to be OK now except for this.
Any ideas on how to repair?
Still don't know what caused the crash, since the System Event Log was
corrupt.

I can't give you any advice on your problem, but you're not alone with your
problem. Just 11 post before yours I reported a similiar small text problem
on my server. Company web looks OK on mine but all the HTML portions of
server management has the tiny text. Hope someone can help us. I wonder if
it was a recent update??

Hi Steve,

I haven't seen this on any of the other SBS 2003 Servers I look after and
they are all patched to the same level. I was guessing that the server crash
corrupted something in Sharepoint.

Cheers,
Bill

Do you have a screenshot/sample HTML?

I do, but the server keeps rejecting my attachment (a 204 KB PDF).

Hmm....in WSS3 the solution would be to un-ghost the site. But as I recall
WSS2 doesn't offer that (yeah, it's been awhile since I've run WSS2.)

Have you tried applying a new theme via the site settings menu? That might
reset all of the pages with the appropriate settings including font size.

HI Cliff,

Yeah I tried resetting the theme. Text size is not reset by this.

Cheers,
Bill

I have an update. Tiny text appears on ALL web pages internal & external!

This is really emabarrasing. After I discovered that the teeny tiny text
occurred on ALL web pages, I did a search on *internet explorer fonts too
small* and discoverd that IE, View, Text Size was set to Smallest. Don't
know how this happened, but it did.

Go figure ;-)

Thanks for attempted help.

Cheers,

Bill,
I'm glad your wrote back with your resolution. After reading your post I
went back and checked my IE settings. Although text size was set to normal,
I changed it to Large and then back again to normal and the problem was
solved! I feel a little embarrashed too for not checking that sooner.
Anyway thanks for closing the loop on the issue. You helped me solve mine
too.
Steve
