You can buy new Hardware that is 64bit capable and then install SBS 2003 =
on it. do not get it "factory installed" but rather through Volume =
Licensing and purchase Software Assurance. Then when SBS 08 is =
available you can upgrade. (NOTE: it will not be an inplace upgrade =
though)
I have a customer that is running an SBS 03 server on it's last =
legs...When SBS 08 is launched on Nov 12, that customer will be getting =
a new server and migrate to 08 then. I think we can limp along for 4 =
months.

Thanks Merv,=20
I have an client running SBS 2003 on an old server that is becoming more =
and=20
more un reliable and he wants to replace the server.=20
If I install a new server with SBS 2003 we will be in a situation of =
having=20
brand new hardware (32bit) running SBS 2003 with SBS 2008 coming out =
over=20
here (Ireland) shortly yet he wont be able to upgrade to it as SBS 2008 =
is=20
64bit.=20
So once 2003 becomes end of life his server will be no good to him.=20
I'm trying to work out the best strategy for him at this point.=20
Any thoughts?
