Hi. We are running SBS2003 Premium with ISA. We want to view our security
cameras over the internet. I ran the Internet Connection Wizard and opened
port 8100 in UDP and TCP. It is still not working. Can anyone help?

Thank you.

I disagree with Lanwench, this should have continued in the original thread.
But that's life and here we are where we are.

Bobo,

if the cam is behind ISA you do not need to 'open' ports to access it,
you need to 'publish' those ports. The CEICW will not 'publish' services
except for SBS specifics, delete whatever rules you have created and google
'ISA Server Publishing'.

Hi again. I am mising something that is probably real simple but I cannot
figure this out. Would I do this like I am publishing a new server (like
these show - http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/2004pubftpaltport.html)?

The camera system is a DVR. It has it's own internal IP address assigned to
it. It is set up to be accessable via port 8100 (although I can change that
to any port).

We already connect to the server via VPN for users to be able to use
applications.

What am I missing? Thank you in advance.

How's this. Would this work? I could add a Linksys router to the cable
modem. I could then take one cable to connect to the SBS2003 server and one
to the camera system. Them I could just open the port in the Linksys router
to allow the camera. But would this screw up my SBS2003 connection?

Thank you very mch for the assist. I wil be reading that site today.

I am wondering if it is possible that ISA is not loaded as I still am not
seeing it. I don't know why it would not be loaded. I have the firewall
turned on, Remote Access is configured, etc.

Is it possible to have all of this set up and not have ISA? If so, do I just
add program through Control Panel to get it setup?

hhmmmmmmmm,

Thank you,

Yes, unless you've installed the R2 technologies, you won't have ISA.

Unfortunately, the statement is incorrect.

Previous to SBS SP1, ISA 2000 would be loaded from the 'Premium
Technologies' CD, Premium owners needed to order the SP1 CD set in order to
get ISA 2004. Post SP1 installation media includes ISA 2004 on the Premium
Technologies CD.

R2 or not is irrelevent.

Thank you SG. I will have to see if they still have the disks. I know that
they ordered the Premium version. I just checked and it looks as if they do
not have SP1 installed. Can I download SP1 for the premium version on line
or do I have to order it?

Thanks again.
