We have RWW set up here and it has been working for the past year or
so, and sometime around the last few days it decided that it doesnt
want to work (Service Unavaliable). After rebooting I can at least
get to the initial login page.

When i log in with my account (domain admin) I get it properly. When
I login with a user that has Remote Web Workplace User permissions
(who worked a few days ago) it sits at the loading screen for about 5
second and then redirects back to the login screen and i get errors in
Even Viewer.

I get 2 errors that come through:
ASP .Net 2.0.50727.0 Event ID 1334
.NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting Event 5000

They both basically say there was an issue with
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException, saying that the requested name is
valid but no data of the requested type was found.

When i elevated the user to a domain admin, I got right in. I take
domain admin priv away and it goes back to the loading screen then
dumps me back to login and fills my event log.

I have been searching for a bit and can't seem to find this exact
issue anywhere else, it seems a little quirky.

Thanks in advance,

Cory

As far as I know, no one has touched the back end of this in over 6
months. I just got dumped on this problem and I dont have a whole
lot of experience with what you mentioned.

Are you an employee of the company and haven't worked much with SBS
If so, I strongly suggest you consider bringing in someone for an hour =
or two.

Are you also suggesting no updates have been done in 6 months?=20

If you can logon to the Server you can verify what version of ASP Net is =
being associated with websites by starting the IIS Manager through =
Administrative tools

Expand the folder called Websites
Right Click each website...choose Properties....And Click on the ASP NET =
tab
They should say 1.1.4322

You'll probably find one or more that say Version 2.

All of them are set to ASP 2.0.50727, will changing that drop down to
1.1.4322 for all the website fix my problem?

We have been doing all the updates (except SP2) for the server, but
dont do much with the web side of things. We had a consultant come in
for the deployment, but we are trying to save money by taking care of
it all internally now. If i spend too much time of this i guess that
defeats the purpose...

The strange thing is I can still get into /exchange with all user
accounts, but the non-administrative accounts cannot get in to RWW.

It should...
I would do that and do it at a time when you can reboot the server
See what happens then
