I keep getting messages from my 2003sbs to my xp pro pc's
telling me there is a problem with licensing. When I check
the licensing on the server, I see the following message "
(POP-UP BOX:Microsoft Management Console: Snap in failed
to initialize: Name: Small Business Server Licensing
CLSID: etc etc.) Then when I click ok, I see 'snap-in
creating failed. The snap-in was not created, it may not
be properly installed'. CLSID: etc etc. Please help.

This error message is sent if you have joined the SBServer to a Existing
Domain and it is in contravention of the License agreement because of
it.

The SBServer -must be- the Root of Forest holding all the FSMO Rolls and
cannot be a member of another Domain.

Yes, you can't add SBS to an existing domain like that.

Be aware though that SBS Does -not- support trusts.

Depending upon what your needs are it may be better to upgrade the
existing Domain to being an SBS Domain.
