I'm trying to reclaim space on the C drive of a raid 5 SBS2k3 server. Is
there any problem with taking the page file on C to 512mb and spreading the
rest out between the two other drives? Also Exchange is installed on the
server on one of the other drives that I mention.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Chuck,
If you are fighting on getting your page from 2GB to 512mb you have more
serious problems IMO

Have you moved everything OFF of your C Partition first?
Such as
Move the Users Shared Folders
Move the SharePoint Databases
Move the Monitoring Databases
Move Exchange Databases and Log Files
Move the Sent Faxes Folder
Move the ClientApps Shared Folder
This Document will help you move those things.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sbs/2003/maintain/movedata.mspx

If you've done all that and still need to squeeze down to 512mb pagefile
I'd suggest getting some bigger drives and moving up.
Because with Patches it's only a matter of time before that 512mb will be
needed.

The server was set up a 15gb c:partition Not my install. After the updates of
this week it keeps getting low on disk space for some reason. It will start
out the day with a couple of gigs left and slowly but surely work it's way
down to my warning limit.I know it is too small and keeping it clean is a
real chore. I'm pretty sure that I have moved everything that you've
mentioned but I'll check on the sharepoint, monitoring and sent faxes folders
as I'm not sure that I've moved those.

The page file is now set at over 3GB on the c:partition and a couple of
gigs breathing room would help. So the question is, is it safe to move some
of that page file to the other two disks? When I begin to set the page file
at a smaller size than it is I get a warning message about logs.

Thnks again in advance for the help.

You could move it, but IMO
I don't like to move the page file to another drive because the server
cannot write debug information to the disk if a Stop error occurs.

You should be able to run basics SBS on 15GB
(I Just checked a client that I have that most things are moved over and
they are at 10GB.)

I personally wouldn't lower the Page file lower than 2GB
(Some probably even disagree with that.)

Not knowing everything that's on it.
My feeling is that there are something's you can move.
Easiest to move is ClientApps
Then Users Shared Folders
Sharepoint.

Since you have Exchange on another Drive
Before you do this you could take the Exchange Database offline
and do a Offline defrag if space is filling on that also.
(remember to do a offline Defrag of Exchange you need 2x database size.)

Does that help?
However I would NOT have my Page file at 512mb

I normally use the following article as a guideline to setting the location
and size of the pagefile. You can leave a portion of the pagelfile (RAM+
1-2MB) on the C: drive so that a crash dump file can be created.. Note that
based on other stuff I've seen/read, I'm not sure creating or moving a
pagefile on a RAID array is going to improve performance. However, it
should reduce the potential for warnings on the C: drive.
