Please allow me to confirm that my understandings are correct. As I
understand it, the issue is:
You want to know how to migrate SBS sharepoint internal website to a new
2008 server.
If I have misunderstood your concerns please feel free to let me know.
Suggestion :

SharePoint service v2 is not supported on Windows Server 2008. And you
cannot install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 without service packs on
Windows Server 2008.
Based on my search, I would like to suggest that you check the following:
1. Please refer to following KB article to install Windows SharePoint
Service 3.0 on Windows Server 2008 at first.
How to install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 on a computer that is
running Windows Server 2008

2. Then please refer to the following link to move SBS sharepoint service
database to new Server 2008 with SharePoint Service 3.0 Server.

Another method you may like is as below:
1. Refer to the following documents to upgrade your SBS sharepoint service
from v2 to v3.

Point Service 2.0 to 3.0 on Server 2008, I would like to suggest that you

By the way, for SBS migrate to Windows Server 2008, we usually recommend
that apply transition pack on SBS2003 at first. Then this is Windows 2003

| You are just a smidge early as SBS 2008 will be out in the future.
