Licensing issue
I have a Replica Domain Controller in an SBS 2003 R2 Premium domain. I=20
wanted to configure licensing correct, that is in accordance with =
KB327644.=20
When I tried to set licensing to Per Device or Per User, I got an error=20
message stating that Licensing logging was not running. I there for=20
configured Licensing logging to automatic and started the service. This=20
allowed me to configure Licensing (under Control Panel) to Per Device or =
Per=20
User. When I thereafter tried to add client access licenses I receive =
an=20
error as follows form License System: You do not have the appropriate =
access=20
privileges to complete this operation.
Looking at KB153140, KB824196, KB327644, my questions are:
a) Should Licensing Service run on a member server of a SBS Server 2003 =
R2=20
domain?
b) Should Licensing Service run on a member server Terminalserver Server =
of=20
a SBS Server 2003 R2 domain?
c) Should Licensing Service run on a Replica Domain Controller in a SBS=20
Server 2003 R2 domain?
d) What can be done with this issue described a bow?
