Dear reader,

I have a SBS 2003 installed and Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Backup Client
running. Backing up data files with TSM is no problem.

I also want to backup my exchange server (storage files) and sharepoint
files.

Which data files have to be selected in TSM Backup Client to backup the data
files (and be able to restore all the exchange and sharepoint data)?

Thank you very much in advance!

P.S.: I don't want the whole system to be backed up. Just the exchange and
sharepoint files.

You would have to have the particular agents to backup Exchange
Now you can run the regular sbs backup wizard which will get exchange =
and everything else on the box...then TSM can backup that file

Is your SBS box part of a larger corporate network? don't usually see =
TSM in small business

Dear Cris,

thank you for your answer. Which agents would that be (for Exchange and
Share Point). Is there an article on technet on that topic you can recommend?

Yes, the SBS is part of a larger network, but independent...

Thank you very much in advance.

No, there is nothing on technet that is going to refer to backing up =
with TSM

Yes you would need active agents for Exchange, Sharepoint and SQL if =
using it

The better (and cheaper solution) in my opinion is, use the SBS back up =
wizard to back up to a share on the server (which the wizard will warn =
you is not a good idea)) then let TSM pick up that file and store it.
