Hi, just installed MS Accounting 2008 onto our SBS 2003 server, took all the
defaults completed fine. Installed the client on a laptop as documentation
says and I am unable to open the comapny that I created on the server.
However, I can open the sample companies. Help Help what am I doing wrong.

Cheers, Andrew

Did you give the user permission to access the database?

How do I do that?

I would guess 1 of two ways:

1) Log into MS Accounting on the server and find some administration
part that lets you add users.

2) Go into the SQL database security management and manually add
permission to access the tables in the database - this is not generally
a good idea unless you're a DBA and know what you are doing.

I'm willing to bet that a Help File contains the information on ADDING
USERS.
