[Q] Synching oulook 2007 notes impossible onto a second PC ..?

Hi all,

Same configuration on both PCs
With HTC cruise WM6 and 2 PC XP pro with office 2007 / Activesync 4.5.

No Pb to synch Calendar Contacts / notes / todo on PC1

But with the same outlook.pst file onto the 2nd PC (PC2),
Activesync is hanging during sync of notes elements (other are OK, calender,
contacts ...) without any particular error message.
I deleted and created again partnership, but pb still the same.

Antivirus and firewall are the same on both PCs

Any idea ? Thks in advance

Have no idea if this will still work with the current version of async,
but you might try;

If not, move all of the notes files on the ppc to the storage card and
backup and delete the notes in outlook, then sync with no notes.

Then, return a few notes at a time from the storage card to main memory
and sync after each move until it hangs... then remove that "chunk" back
to the memory card and add one notes file at a time and sync until it
hangs again.

Thanks Howard,

But why is it OK with PC 1 ? If a note was corrupted, I shoud have the same
behaviour on both PCs ....?

That might indicate that the corruption is on the note contained on one
of the pc's rather than on the ppc.

It could also be a difference in activesync and/or outlook versions or
their settings.

As a total shot in the dark, try running the steps at
http://BevHoward.com/ASync.htm#Forms on the pc where it doesn't complete.

?!? What does it mean "doesn'n work any more"?
Maybe you should wait for a longer time but sometimes this trick works.

Other way:
in Outlook 2007 in the help menu (?) choose "Diagnostic", complete the
procedure and try again.
