Help! I forgot the password for my Ipaq 2490 model, i'd try everything
possible to brig it back without any success. Does anyone knows how? please

Hi Tony,
WM 6.0 includes a new feature that enables an admin or the user (through
Outlook Web Access) to re-enroll the DLock PIN/password in the case that
they forget their password. However, given that your iPaq 2490 is WM 5.0,
it does not include this feature.

On WM 5.0, you can control dlock settings through the registry or through
Configuration XML. However, you cannot actually change the dlock password
until you enter the old one first.

Looks like your only workable solution is to cold boot the device.

Wouldn't be much of a password if you could post on a newsgroup and get the
instructions on how to circumvent it, now would it? Write it down next time
and put it somewhere you won't forget where that is.
