"Download the Past:" registry hack??

For my WM6-PRO phone, I'm hoping there's a registry hack that will let me
save the last 3 months of sync'd messages.

When I use the menus: Email Synch Options -> Download the Past... it shows
either 1 month or All... but nothing in between! I need 3 months for a trip
I'm about to take.

I browsed the registry and Googled this a lot, but found very little.

Anyone looked into this before?

For unanswerable questions? ;-)

A search of my registry didn't turn up any e-mail account specific settings
at all, much less the "download the past x days" setting, so it's safe to
assume the registry isn't used for those settings. It's probably stored in
the cemail.vol database in the system's root, which I'd guess is not easily
parsed by our "analog" eyes.

"Unanswerable"... perhaps... but I don't know. My post title & question
mentions "registry hack" but truly my question could've been stated "any way
to make it 3 months?".

I gotta figure there's more than one person out there who knows definitively
(a) if it's possible, and if so (b) how you'd do it.

I agree... I saw very few settings like this in the WM registry, so you may
be right. And thanks for checking. I'm new to WinMobile so I don't know if
like regular desktop Windows you can add a key when there's none there
before.

Here's a suggested "work-around": Just before you go on your trip,
move everything, except for the last 3 months, out of the inbox, and
into a separate folder. Then set the sync to "All".

Thanks William. I thought of that workaround before and am considering it
as a fallback. But I have rather large Inbox & Sent folders so moving the
old messages may take some time. Plus it's slightly kludgy.

Obviously it'd be preferrable to be able to just tell it "3 months" instead
of "All". But if that's not possible, I may just jump at the workaround. ;)
