Hi,

My OS is Windows Mobile 6 Professional, I use Letter Recognizer, and
"Capitalize first letter of sentence" is unckecked. But when I write a
period, the next letter is capitalized in Pocket Word. For example, if
I write "The U.S.A. is in North America," Pocket Word displays "The
U.S.A. Is in North America" ("Is" instead of "is"). Is there a way to
disable this silly feature?

You could use the Notes program instead. I don't have that problem on my
Pocket PC 2002 device.
My Pocket Pc 2003 SE does exhibit this behavior. I tested a WM5 device
(through emulation on my desktop) and it also capitalizes even when turned
off in global settings.
One trick is to do the letter twice then go back later and delete the
capitalized one. I don't see how to stop the capitalization though.
If this is a bug, it has carried forth through many versions of Pocket Pc
since the 2002 device that doesn't have this bug.

It certainly smells like a bug, and it still exists in WM6.1 Pro.

Thanks for your answer. The problem with Notes is that it doesn't
support formatting.
