I have just acquired a Windows Mobile 6.0 device (iPAQ 510 phone). I want to
connect it to a my local wireless LAN but need the device number to enter the
MAC number in the router. Where and how can I find the physical address of
the Ethernet wireless connection adapter? What is the Windows Mobile
equivalent of the "ipconfig /all" command? Thanks for your help.

most of your needs might be helped by installing vxipconfig from
http://cam.com

mac on label or in start/settings/system/deviceinfo

sometimes also in the default wifi utility

I have two minor comments. Their Vx/VxUtil program also shows IP
address. Both programs require touch screens (so no WM
Smartphone/Classic); should not be relevant in _this_ newsgroup,
but...

Both of these are wonderful; easy to install, easy to use, useful, and
.... free. My only criticism is that they aren't available for my
Smartphone.

On my WM5.0 device the MAC address is shown in "System Information" (under
"Settings") in the "Network" section.

But I have no idea if this is a WM5.0 feature or a manufacturer item, and/or
retained in WM6.0...
