    - How to "wrap text" on Abode Reader LE on Windows Mobile 6 smartphone Hi I am using a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone with Adobe Reader LE. I am reading a pdf document... however, each line it has about 25 words.... when i am reading that pdf document... i have to scroll right, then scroll left in order to finish the whole line. 1) Any solution? 2) Can i wrap the text inside the pdf, so that I can read (e.g. a single holds just 10 words instead of 25 words) by scrolling just from top to bottom...     - Entering recurring events into WM6 PDA I enter recurring events such as birthdays into my HP iPaq 112 PDA. For some reason when I enter the start date any date before 2001 when I save it and check the event it tells me that it's started at 2001, say 20/10/2001 when it should be say, 20/10/1980. I have to put an end date, which say for my daughter's birthday, is a tad disconcerting. So I put in a date 100 years from now. Anyone else had this problem. I'm running Windows Mobile 6 Classic.     - Removing the o2 / Battery / Conn Mgr from Today screen Hi All, On my XDA from O2 mobile, at the very bottom on right, there are 3 very small icons on the Today screen, one for O2, one for Battery and one for Connection Mgr. Seeing as i dont really use any of these, and they take up valuble space, is there a way i can get them removed from the screen ??     - Sound from PC to Pocket PC Hi All. I have researched this topic to death, and on a few times came pretty close to success. What I would like to accomplish is get my PC's sounds to my Tilt. I do not mean my music and movies, I can do that just fine with Orb. What I would like is something that brings all sounds on my PC to my Tilt. I tried Windows Media Encoder and got it to work, to my laptop and other computers, but I can not pick up the stream with my Tilt, not in the WMP I get a bad parameter error. I tried at least 4 other audio streaming programs to pick up that stream from my Windows Media Encoder, no luck. I also have www.logmein.com pro which works just great, but thier product does not send sound. So, I have decided to ask the community here if anyone has successfully brought "What you hear" sounds from your home computer to your Pocket PC. (I have a mac at home too maybe that has a solution,) seems like it should be kind of easy, but for me it is not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     - WiFi Connections Hi All, Sorry for another post! But i find sometimes when i switch on the PPC wifi that it only shows a few connections available. I also try another program called PeekPocket which seems to suggest there are other wifi sites around available ( which the windows wifi doesnt pickup ) The only thing is, say when peekpocket finds a wifi site, i dont think there is a "connect to" option for it! I was wondering, does someone know of a program which will scan for all availble wifi hotspots & connections, and have an option to connect to it!     - Audible notifications gone on Dell Axim X59v running WM 2003 SE with Have had this device since they came out (3 or 4 years ago???). Have always used audible notifications for calendar, alarms, and screen taps. Have tuned them on and of via (1) the speaker volume icon in the task bar and/or Start/Settings/Personal/Sounds & Notifications. Any ideas as to why this has happened?     - ActiveSync Botching Outlook Read/Unread Status I'm running WM6, syncing via ActiveSync 4.5.0 to Outlook 2003. I have it setup to sync my Outlook mail (directly, not via an Exchange server, since I'm only using Outlook for POP/SMTP). If I mark a message in the inbox as "read" on the PDA, then sync, the message is correctly marked as "read" within Outlook. If I move a message from the inbox to another folder on the PDA, then sync, the message is correctly moved to the target folder within Outlook. HOWEVER - if I read a message in the inbox on the PDA, then move it to a folder (either from within the message itself, or from the message list), then sync, the message is moved to the target folder but it is NOT marked as read in Outlook. So, I wind up with unread messages all over my folder tree. Any idea how this can be fixed?     - Windows Mobile 6.0: Text Messages: save/foward/move/print PROBLEM. RE:Windows Mobile 6.0 I have a text message dialogue in my "Messaging" program that I need to move off the phone and save/print and I don't see any options for that! I must be missing it. I'm feeling like a numb-skull here. I'm sorry for the mundane, but I don't want to leave anything out. First: I go to programs and select "Messaging." Second: My inbox is selected and there is only one text message in it, which is highlighted by default. My options are "New" and "Menu." So I select Menu and the only options I have available to me are: "Delete, Reply, New MMS, Call Sender, Sort, Purge, Options" The "Forward..." and "Copy to Saved" options are both dimmed and cannot be selected. Why is that? Did I do something to cause that? Third: I open the actual message by clicking on it and my options are: "Send' and "Menu." The menu gives me the following options: "Add Media, My Text, Emoticons, Message Options, Call Sender." The remaining options, including Forward and Copy to saved are dimmed and cannot be selected! How frustrating! I just want to print the dialogue and save it! Any ideas as to why I can't do that? I know...I know....PEBKAC: Except now we must consider that there is no keyboard and the chair is optional. Is there a temporary work-around? Perhaps text message files that I can just copy over, or a database I can access after copying over? Please feel free to set me straight on ANYTHING! I learn whenever possible.     - Problem with Activesync I have the following configuration: Dell Laptop XP Pro, fully service packed Exchange 2003 system, fully service packed Outlook 2007 Activesync 4.5 HTC 8900 Cell Phone running Windows Mobile 6.0 and synced to Exchange 2003 via Exchange Activesync When we try to sync the 8900 via a cable (to sync the notes, and we have a lot - about 660 of them), the sync stops about 80 notes into the sync with the following error "The program [c:\program files\.....wcesmgr.exe /onconnect caused a problem and is going to close. What we are trying to do is create a folder shell extension which is loaded and displays contents of the flash drive when-ever a specific drive gets connected to the pocket pc? While I certainly consider HTC's models boring, unimaginative and far from multimedia- and gaming-friendly, I really hope they will, at last, come up with something more appealing for the generic users.     - SMS Messages Open At Bottom Of Message Hi, I have an odd SMS message display problem I cant resolve. For some reason when I open SMS messages on my PPC Pro (running in a HTC TYTN2), the window has started to open at the bottom of the message which leaves the content of the actual message off screen. I therefore have to press the up button in order to be able to see the text of the message. Its only a small thing, but its really irritating. I've tried the reboot it approach, but this has not cured the problem. Did anyone ever verify if the "<server>:<port>" syntax works in Pocket Outlook Express on windows mobile 5?
I am trying to configure my PDA (8525 with WM5) for gmail IMAP. connecting, browsing and downloading is fine, but sending does not work, and I need to eliminate the possibility that it is an smtp port issue.

It did for me (I'm using WM6 now, but it worked in WM5 as well.)

Did you remember to check the "use SSL" (which, IIRC, you have to check the
"use separate settings for outgoing" to see.)
