Also We disable rotation support from display driver, then also It never hanges and passes. In hange state after enabling Blt Verbose of Debug Zone, we found that GPE::ClipBlt function gets right, and bottom cordinate as (0,0) of clipping information.     - CETK connection issue with Flash File System mounted as root Hello all, With the Flash File System mounted as root the Remote Tools and the Win CE 6.0 CETK refuse to connect. The files cetlstub, tlcesrv and cemgrc are copied to \Windows folder on the device but the error message: "Platform Manager was unable to copy the clientside package to the device. Check your device-side files folder to make sure there is adequate space and no open files" appears and no connection can be started. When the Flash File System is not mounted as root the Remote Tools and the CETK work perfectly. In both cases we use Active Sync for the Transport and the Startup Server. In both cases Active Sync is working and files can be accessed via the Explorer. In both cases there is enough space in the memory and no files are open. We change the following vars in the <projectName>.bat file: In this case FFS is mounted as root, CETK and Remote Tools don't work: set SYSGEN_FSREPLXFILT=3D1 set PRJ_ENABLE_FSEXTREPL=3D1 set PRJ_ENABLE_FSMOUNTASROOT=3D1 In this case FFS is not mounted as root, CETK and Remote Tools can connect: set SYSGEN_FSREPLXFILT=3D set PRJ_ENABLE_FSEXTREPL=3D set PRJ_ENABLE_FSMOUNTASROOT=3D Any ideas with mountaing the FFS as root prevents the CETK and the Remote Tools from starting?     - data abort in touch driver in DeviceEmulator BSP Trying to use the Microsoft DeviceEmulator BSP to create a CE5 image for use with VS2005 DeviceEmulator. Basically its working but I'm having bother with the touchscreen driver. When I click in the emulator window I get the following Data Abort exception. By use of RETAILMSGs I have tracked this down to the call RETAILMSG(1, (_T("Calling pfnCallback %x, %x, %x, %x\r\n"), pfnCallback, SampleFlags, CalX, CalY)); (pfnCallback)( SampleFlags, CalX, CalY); RETAILMSG(1, (_T("Back from pfnCallback %x\r\n"), pfnCallback)); in TouchPanelpISR in touch\tchmain\tchmain.c in the public touch panel driver code It never returns from the (pfnCallBack) call. I have checked that the address in pfnCallBack is the same here as it was when it was passed to "TouchPanelEnable" Any ideas how I can find out whats causing this and fix it? I then do a build and sysgen in platform builder.     - Problems Disabling Automatic Screen Off for Display Driver. I have a platform running Windows CE 6.0 and am having some problems having the Display Stay on (it is turning off automatically when I don't want it to.) We basically do not want any idle or inactivity timers to be used by the Power Manager with regards to the display, we only wish for it to change power states via requests from Applications and due to Sleep and Sleep Resume. We have three (3) drivers in use, a Display Driver, Backlight Driver and Battery Driver. The Display Driver starts up in D0, after being left idle the Power Manager sets the Display Driver into D1 followed by D4. The Backlight Driver is staying on as expected. I installed a stub battery driver (from public tree) that should set the Power Source as AC Line Online with a Battery State of full. I originally thought that maybe having the Battery Support in (without an actual battery driver) may be causing a problem (as the default power state was battery scheme.) Adding in this battery driver has the default power state as AC Scheme but there is unfortunately no change to how the driver behaves. Via the Control Panel: Power Scheme says AC Power and Switch to User Idle, System Idle and Suspend all say never. Display Backlight has two checkboxes "Automatically turn off backlight while on battery power" and "Automatically turn off backlight while on external power" and neither of these are actually checked.     - Attach Device problems Hello... I seem to only be able to "Attach Device" to two particular MAC addresses. Does that make any sense at all? My PB5.0 happily downloads image to the first MAC address I used with it, and the default that comes with the board... but for the rest of them (rest = "10 others I tried") don't actually seem to get an image. I can see the board in "Connectivity options", but when I connect to get an image, PB sends one packet in response to the BOOTME... and then nothing happens. Any suggestions on debugging?     - "unableto read the device settings from the Datastore" error WinCE Hi- When I select Target/Connectivity Options... from the CE 5.0 Platform Builder menu, I get the error message: Platform Builder was unable to read the device settings from the DataStore. I have already tried deleting the Documents and Settings\tburnside\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CoreCon\1.0 directory, but I still get the error. I've found a similar question on this forum from 24 Jan 2008, but there are no responses. I'm hoping that someone here can help out.     - Install/deploy custom CE6 OS via USB I've built my OS Design in Embedded CE 6.0 R2 in VS2005 using the ARM BSP, and it runs fine in the ARM emulator. Now I'd like to deploy it to the target device itself. I've searched around online for this for hours, but know I'm missing something b/c the download runtime image dialog sits waiting for BOOTME from the target device. The target CE device only has a USB connection, and the device is recognized through Active Sync (version 3.8) -- so I can browse the device in XP, but Platform Builder 6.0 in VS2005 doesn't seem to be able to deploy the os image.     - CE5 form.submit Hi, I'm running into a problem testing browser compatibility in CE5 against CE4.2. I have a series of Web pages that are served by IIS on a PC which test various aspects of HTML and other protocol compatibility in the browser. One of the test pages has a form that gets submitted by the user when she clicks a button on the page. This works fine and triggers the form action after some JScript runs on the page and calls submit() for the form in CE4.2. When the user clicks on the button, a dialog is presented from wininet.dll which says something to the effect that 'You are about to send some data over the Internet. Are you sure you want to do that?' If the user says, "Yes", the form submission occurs. In CE5, however, clicking on the Submit button that should trigger this process seems to do nothing. No dialog, although the dialog resource is certainly still there in wininet.dll, no submission operation, etc. It's as though the processing of forms is short-circuited by someone. Note that 1) I do have JScript (authoring and encode), in the image, 2) I'm using the DCOM catalog item and have Internet Explorer RPC Support in the OS, 3) I've tried accessing the test page on a server that's in the Local Intranet zone and one in the Internet zone, 4) I've tried setting all of the Internet options on the device to the most-liberal settings, 5) the QFECheck tool indicates that I have all of the QFEs for my target processor, ARMv4i.     - Kdebugger protocol version error Hi everybody I'm trying to launch the kdebugger furnished with visual studio. I am able to launch the board without debugger support.     - WinCE 6.0 remote tools issue..... hi! I am working on pxa270 WinCE 6.0 amd i am loading the image through platform builder 6.0 (VS2005) through ethernet. My remote tools were not working so after going through several posts i came to know that we need to copy the files. D:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows CE Tools\Platman \target\wce600\armV4i\ cemgr.exe,cetlkitl.dll,cetlstub.dll,tcpipc.dll.tlcvsrv.dll to release directory.. Then my remote tools started working. My problem comes here.. I am running CETK through platform builder. When i test the connection using device properties in CETK, it says connection established... when i try to connect then it is returning... "Platform Manager unable to run the application" I tried running clientside manually by giving..     - GDI Interface test - GPE testing Hi All, I am working on porting my GPE enabled display driver from WinCE 5.0 to WinCE 6.0. I like to know is there any changes applicable to GPE part of my display driver for this migration? I successfully compiled the GPE enabled display driver for CE 6.0. Now to test this I am running the GDI Interface test of WCETK on CEPC with CE 6.0. But while running this test I am getting following capabiltiy bits enabled for my device Capability RASTERCAPS = 75777 RC_BITBLT RC_ROTATEBLT RC_STRETCHBLT RC_STRETCHDIB Currently the test is failing and I doubt because I am getting this extra bit (RC_ROTATEBLT) bit enabled. I want to disable this. Can anyone explain me what this bits are and from where they come and how can i enable or disable particular bit? Here I am having doubt on RC_ROTATEBLT. How I can disable this? I am not getting any info on this on net or MSDN. All the capability bits are listed in MSDN under GDIINFO struct but not RC_ROTATEBLT. Why is it so? But it would take so much time. So I want to use some other way to build in more short time.     - USB Speed Issue For OS Download Hi, We are using Windows CE 6.0. I am able to download nk.bin with USB Serial at Full Speed and the target boots. Our USB Controller can operate at High Speed. To Operate at High Speed I have changed bcdUSB value in Device Descriptor to 0x0200 in serial_dl.cpp and USB Controller is configured to operate at High Speed. When we switch to High Speed operation it gives following error message in Platform Builder (CoreCon) Error: Failed to download image. Please check connection settings.     - SetEvent by driver in WinCE6 Hi all, I'm trying to get a driver to notify an application of the occurrence of a certain condition by doing SetEvent on a handle provided by the application via a DeviceIoControl call. However, the SetEvent fails with error code ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE. I guess it has something to do with manipulating user space pointers in kernel space but what is the correct way around this? I used the camera driver to support my camera device,and ran the cetk.It can pass all resolutions which less than or equal to the resolution of VGA(640*480).but it cannot pass cetk test when resolution is 800*600*16(bits). But the application can ran on SVGA.Why it fail in cetk?? The fail message is "Starting the capture graph failed.".It looks like the directshow cannot support this bigger resolution??It is ?? I'm booting my box with CF and there is a HDD (We have geodied hence the registry geoide.reg) which is detected as 'Disk' and the CF has been detected as 'Disk1'. Everything is well and good.
