    - Problems when adding an entry to the network routing table. Hello, when I add a new entry to the network routing table my system hang up if the specified gateway is not online (e.g. the gateway computer is shutdown at the moment). After I have execute the following command: route ADD 192.168.105.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.105.10 METRIC 1 IF 3 the system doesn't work successfully anymore till I have reboot the hole system. The system cannot be accessed through telnet, FTP or each other protocol, but it responds successfully to all ping requests. With the PB 5.0 I discovered that something in the AFD component seems to block but I cannot find the cause. Maybe that something in the TCP/IP stack is corrupted to but I don't know why. I don't think that the problem is in the network driver because the device responds successfully to ping requests. Have someone else seen this problem before ?     - Use IImage in WinCE Hi all, I am new to develop an AP on winCE 5.0 and I try to use the IImage library. Now I can load the JPG picture on the screen successfully and try to rotate it. However I met some problem. I had find some suggestion which indicate how to rotate bitmap step by step as follows: CoInitialize CoCreate CLSID_ImagingFactory CreateImageFromFile which returns you an IImage interface Query the IImage interface for IBasicBitmapOps interface use the IBasicBitmapOps interface to adjust brightness, contrast, gamma, rotation, etc. Use the IImage interface to Draw the bitmap on the screen I just can't understand which does the "Query the IImage interface for IBasicBitmapOps interface" means. Here is my code and would anyone tell me where is going wrong ? By the way, is it possible to use the IImage library to convert from JPG to BMP and PNG ?     - RNDIS - Hangs during transfres Hi all, My setup is includes an ARM based processor running WINCE 5.0. I have RNDIS working, but it hangs during data transfers. I have searched this workgroup, and I found some other posts describing similar problems, but no solution was described. I suspect that this problem is related with not sending a zero packet in some specific situations. I could see that if I start pinging the device while it is stalled, the device resumes its transfers. For example, I opened a shared folder on the device from the desktop and it took very long time (minutes) to open. If during this operation I open a telnet session and then just keep on pressing <enter> key - the device folder shows up in less then 10 seconds. The host PC is windows XP SP2. I am using "RNDIS-USB-Kit_05.exe" as host side RNDIS driver. I am using the same usbfn driver for mass storage and for activesync without any problem. Any suggestions? Thanks, Michael.     - makeimg with new pm.dll I want to use a new pm.dll in my image that was sent from microsoft to display debug messages. So I replaced the old pm.dll with the new one in my release directory, the platform retail directory, and all other directories that I saw pm.dll in. Then I did a makeimg and downloaded the new image to my device After bootup, I don't see any debug messages. When I look in the windows directory on the device, I see that the old pm.dll is there, because the file size is much smaller than the new one with debug messages. So this is where I'm stuck. The problem is that I have to find on the market a PCI Soundcard that can be managed on a CEPC with a existing CE driver. Downloading the Run-Time Image from Platform Builder over Ethernet fails with the Message 'Bad RX Packet' after the download has begun. The Message appears at a terminal program which is connected with the serial debug port. The board was booted over USB FDD with CEPC Bootdisk (loadcepc.exe) and over Bios bootloader (\WINCE500\PUBLIC\COMMON\OAK\CSP\X86\BIOSLOADER\DISKIMAGES\bootdisk.144). For the PCI card, I need some access to the PCI base addresses and used MmMapIoSpace or TransBusAddrToVirtual[1]. Those functions are declared in ceddk.h and you need to link ceddk.lib. However, while ceddk.h is, ceddk.lib isn't installed with the SDK generated from my platform, why? Also, ceddk.h needs pkfuncs.h, which isn't installed either!? Am I doing something wrong?     - Adding a new target device I've just installed the BSP for my new development (MX-31 from Freescale, RTM 12) and built the kernel so now I want to download it to the board. I go to Connectivity Options and select Add Device but the BSP isn't listed in the "Associated OS Design/SDK" box, even though the BSP is listed in the Catalog. The only way I can get it listed is to create an SDK and install it. Is there a way of getting a BSP listed so I can create a connection based on it? Is this a known problem?     - USB not detected - help I inserted the (GSM modem)USB device to one of the ports of my USB HUB which is connected to host port 1 of pxa270 processor. I also inserted USB mouse, pen drive to this hub. These devices are detected. But the GSM device is not detected if the USB cable is plugged-in while booting.     - corecon "conflict" with Platform Builder & Visual Studio 2005 Hi, I have both Platform Builder & Visual Studio 2005 installed & have created a variety of SDK "projects" projects .. mostly X86 based. I'm not quite sure how it happened, but Visual Studio will not create a "Smart Device" project ("project failed") when "corecon" exists in "C: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft" folder. It appears that Platform Builder requires that folder for (at least) "connectivity" options. I don't think that I should have to install/de-install that folder when running the two programs? ... If the folder (or a file in that folder) has been corrupted, is there a way to tell? [I don't have the original contents] Before this issue was seen, I created & installed an SDK (X86 based CE) but the new "selection" was not seen in Visual Studio list of devices .. I don't think this was the cause.... I've seen messages on this discussion board indicating that PB should "rebuild/recreate" the corecon folder if it's not there .. MMC spec says card lock/unlock feature with password should be supported. If I see the existing code, the FSD uses IOCTL to read/write/format etc operations on the card. To support lock/unlock some sort of IOCTL code (like IOCTL_DISK_READ used for read) should be present in the win ce code base. In the extsing code also, the present host driver(MMC 3.x) doesn't implement the lock/unlock feature.     - Wince 6 WLAN over USB HI all, I am in the development process of a WLAN driver for Wince 6. My device is pluggable to usb it has the chipset ZD1211 and is manufactured by ZCOM. I think i will have to get the NDIS packets coming from up and transfer that to WLAN frame format and send it down as a usb packet to the host contrloller. Is there any inbuilt support in the PB for these kind of drivers if any thing is there please let me know.     - KITL not working fine Hi all, I am developing a CE6 image for a x86 (etx-PM from Kontron). I am using a dedicated RTL8139 compatible D-link card for downloading. The download seems to complete properly (that is what the corresponding dialog box and serial port messages say). Both, debug and release versions, boot properly if I do NOT "Enable KITL" in "Build Options". But there is no way to make the image boot if I "Enable KITL". After some message in the debug window and the serial port the process hangs. Often, even the PlatBuilder hangs. I also tried checking "Enable KITL" in "Build Options" and NOT checking "Enable KITL on device boot" in "Connectivity Options"-> "Core Service Settings". When doing this, the device boots and works fine until it tries to connect to PlatBuilder and hangs. I have tried disabling Interrupt Sharing, working in Polled mode and disabling the VIMI. Nothing changes. There is no CE6 driver available for the board yet (they will be comming on some month). In the meantime, I am working with a sample image with support for basic devices, such as mouse and keyboard. I want to believe this is not the problem...     - AtciveSync USB-connection hangs Hello All! Excuse for my bad English. I use SMDK2410 and WinCE 5.00. I have installed ActiveSync on myboard, have installed USB unction controller driver and USB function serial client driver. Then I have established connection with PC through USB (115200bps) without any problem. But connection hangs by transfer of the large files from PC to board. I have studied this conference and have found out that the problem arose not only at me. But have advised only one thing: to install all available QFEs, because one of them contains update for SMDK2410 USB function controller driver PDD. But certainly I have installed all available QFEs already in a long time. It has given nothing. Who can explain me why AC-connection hangs?     - Aodio Volume copntrol in Control Panel Dear All, I have WinCE 5.0 ported on x86 platform. Unfortunately the device does not have that powerful speakers. When the volume is increased to maximum from the control panel and the volume is increased to maximum in the media player then the voice starts cracking and sounds as if it is playing from a speaker with torn cone. Is there any way to bring down the level of Maximum volume in the Control Panel. I believe right now it can be upto FFFFFFFF. How can I limit to lesser Value?     - time zones in mexico I'm trying to work through the DST changes for 2007. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/timezone/dst2007.mspx talks about new time zone registry keys for mexico since it is not adopting the new rules, but KB 923027 and the QFE don't create a new one for Pacific Time for Mexico.     - CEPC PCMCIA problems on CE 4.2 I've been having trouble with CEPC and PCMCIA on CE 4.2. I have an AMD Athlon 2000+ with a ELAN P111 PCI-to-PC Card controller (with a TI PCI1211PGE chip). From what I've been told, the TI PCI1211 is compatible with the TI 1250 PCMCIA controller. I've configured the platform to have the TI 1250 PCMCIA controller. When I upload the image, PCMCIA.DLL does not get loaded. What am I doing wrong here? Just as a side note, if I reconfig the platform to use the i82365 and then rebuild, I see PCMCIA.dll get loaded. In IsValidPCISig(), it detects the wrong controller and exits. So it seems like if I reconfig the platform to use he wrong controller, PCMCIA.dll loads.     - audio player application The CE 5.0 help documents SYSGEN_STREAMAUDIO which is audio-only streaming (and supports SYSGEN_LOCALAUDIO too from the way it seems). What isn't clear is whether this is only the support via DirectShow or whether there is any application that might drive it. Will SYSGEN_CEPLAYER work without a bunch of DirectShow video support ? It is all a bit confusing. I don't see anything that is audio specific, so I'm fearful that if I plan to use SYSGEN_CEPLAYER, I'll end up with video support which is too much for my hardware. Thanks!     - PCMCIA thread priority in CE 5.0 The help in CE 5.0 says that PCMCIA runs at priority level 105, 106, and 107, but that doesn't appear to be the case. The computer is old (and slow) I would like to get PB installed on my own computer. But the serial number has been lost !!! (Actually its my boss who has lost it, so Its not me to blame :-)) Is there any why of extract/move it from the old computer ?? Is there any way of getting the lost serial number back or do we have to by a new copy ?     - Media Player class id? I am using PB 5.0. I have seen several coding examples that reference the Windows Media Player with a clsid of {6bf52a52-394a-11d3-b153-00c04f79faa6} but this clsid does not exist on my built OS. I have a Windows Mobile 5 device that does have this clsid defined in the registry. I have included the media player ocx in the PB project and I have installed all of the latest QFE's.     - CF cards problem Hi I have a CEPC, and 2 CF cards, both Kingston 256MB, one 2-3 years old, the other newer. The old CF cards works fine, I can boot from it, and the disk is showen in WinCE explore. The CF card is recognized by BIOS as a harddisk: Large and PIO 4 The new card is not shown in WinCE explore and I get a message in the platformsbuilder: Atapi!CPCIDisk::EndDMA> Interrupt delayed; status(0x21) But I can boot from it, and I can read and write to it in DOS and on a WinXP PC. The CF card is recognized by BIOS as a LBA DMA 2 Is it correct to assume that the WinCE build works when it can see the old CF card?     - Can't receive UDP Multicast I want to receive UDP Multicast on my board, so write the following code. I also write a send program to send UDP Multicast packet. Both of them work fine in Windows XP( only need to rewrite the #include and WINAPI WinMain to main). I use send.exe on XP to send packet and try to receive on my board, but nth happen! Speed is not stable through RNDIS by UDP SOCKET When I transfer data through RNDIS by SOCKET , I found the RNDIS is not very stable. when I tranfer data for a while, the speed will slow down notably. and since that, I even difficutlly connect to my device . If I use the "PING" Command to connect my device , the speed will speedup. But I still meet the case that can not connect to the device. Is there any special mechanism about using RNDIS?     - Booting from Local Image I am trying to boot the Geode SC2200 based processor for which i generated an image using WinCE6.0 using X86 based BSP. I copied the image into the removable compact flash using a card reader along with loadcepc command.com sysgen and autoexe.bat. i connected the hyperterminal of the hoat for debugging purpose. on the hyperterminal i can see the BIOS commands to execute but after that it displays: Booting user code Done... and it hangs up there. Hi, has anybody experience with setting up the RAS Server for incoming
Modem connections?

Im trying to get the rasserver sample work.
Using the GUI (LineConfig->RasDevConfigDialogEdit) is OK. Incoming
modem connections work.
(I only have to close the Dialog without needing to acknowledge any
changes)

If I take the LineConfigUnimodemSpeed Function instead the connection
fails.
The modem connected to my CEDevice answers the incoming call but hangs
up immediately.

Do I have to configure the LineDevConfigs? How?
