Hello,

I would like to know on which WinCE OS Version (CE4.1, CE4.2, CE 5.0) an
NK.BIN is based.

I have created a little tool which helps me to install an NK.BIN + BLDR to
an compact flash card. Because I use different BLDR files for different
Windows CE OS versions I have to know on which Windows CE OS version the
NK.BIN is based.

Is there a signature in the NK.BIN file?

Regards Peter

No, there isn't any signature.

Hello Peter

Maybe this is a solution for you:
Write a little PC program that inserts a fixed number of extra bytes at the
start of nk.bin.
You can use these bytes for doing your own version stamping.
Modify your bootloader so it is aware of these extra bytes.
