I am working with the MX31 BSP (give or take) and have been using the
CETK with it for a few weeks, until this morning whence I get the same
problem as you. I was using it last night, it was connected overnight I
came to use it this morning after changing my custom test (without
disconnecting) and bang - it dies. I cannot get it to run *any* tests at
all remotely.
The problem occurs as soon as I click 'start tests' in the menu items.
This is nothing to do with the particular BSP.
In my case I am using the KITL connection, although the same occurs with
a winsock connection. I can connect to the device, the clientside.exe is
running and communicating - the "Windows CE Test Kit has
encountered....." windows pops up only when I start tests.
I have removed my custom tests - same problem.
I've copied the exes from another PC, same problem.
The other remote tools, like registry editor, are fine.
The exception on cetest.exe is a NULL pointer exception, there seem to
be a lot of 'ntdll.dll' offsets in the call stack so the network may be
annoyed about something. Too hard to say without source code tho'
The reg keys under HKLM\software\microsoft\CETT are the same on my
different PCs.
I've rebooted everything too, of course.
I really don't want to reinstall PB, but I'm about to try that next, I
am not sure how it will help though.
Any other ideas from anyone?
