    - What should be loaded first BTSCOSND(bluetooth audio driver) or BTD.dll bluetooth stack. Hello all, I am writing an application which configures connectivity between bluetooth audio gateway and a blueatooth headset and then it opens bluetooth audio driver to play file in order to listen on headset. But my problem is during imageloading - bluetooth audio driver loads first and tries to establish HCI communication, but still BTD.dll(stack) hasnt loaded so it fails and i couldnt play sound file. I tried to change the order of laoding but i couldnt find the registry settings for BTD.dll and i couldnt find who loads it and same for btscosnd.dll. so please help me findout cause of the problem.     - console io Hello anyone, I'm playing around with console io and one problem is driving me nuts. I enabled STDIO over serial and it works just nice with command processor. However if I run another application from the command prompt and this app does console io as well (for instance using "wprintf" routine) nothing appears in the output.     - Configuring WinCE 5.0 for the TME PC104-P3 embedded computer Hello All, Our target system is the TME PC104-P3 embedded computer. We have built a debug nk.bin which runs successfully on our standard PC. However, when we download it to the TME PC104-P3, something goes wrong. The bootloader succeeds in making the connection, the nk.bin is downloaded, and the debugger connects. At that point, though, nothing more is displayed, and the kernel debugger indicates some errors (copied below). Now, in truth, I have not yet found video drivers for the board (it uses the C&T 69030; TME does not supply the drivers, and Asiliant does not have them on their website either - anyone have any ideas?), but it seems to me that something more is going wrong.     - missing CF image support on device Hi all, I'm having problems with a C# Smart Device app - I'm loading a bitmap like this: Image bgImage = new Bitmap(appDir + "start.gif"); but on a WinCE 5 device this this causes an exception with message "Exception". The emulator that comes with VS.NET 2003 (WinCE 4.10) works ok. From what I've found online, the problem is that imgdecmp.dll is missing from the emulator image: http://www.dotnet247.com/247reference/msgs/35/177663.aspx http://tinyurl.com/8jpkq Unfortunately the solution present here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/smartclient/understanding/netcf/FAQ/default.aspx#1.31 doesn't work (I'm using PB 5 / VS.NET 2003) - including the "OS Dependencies for the .NET" item doesn't add imgdecmp.dll the to the platform (or fix the problem).     - Platform Builder does not start download when using sboot.bin Hi, I'm really new to Windows CE. I'm trying the tutorials as they come with PB. Since the hardware that I have is using an onboard Ethernet controller that is not supported by eboot, I'm trying to download and boot the system using sboot.bin, following the instructions in the Tutorial: Building a Run-Time Image for a CEPC When trying to download an image to the CE device by choosing Target->Attach Device, the windows pops up and says "Waiting to receive a download request", but furthermore nothing happens. When I monitor the serial port using a terminal emulator, I see the following string repeatedly being sent: kITLÂ»$CEPC. I was actually expecting the string BOOTME, and probably PB is too.     - CEC File with Platform Builder 5 I have write a CEC file with Platform Builder 4.2 for the "OpenNETCF libraries". Why this file not run in Platform Builder 5.0 ?     - Keyboard driver error (sorry for the unintentional cross post) We are using PB 5.0 to develop embedded applications for custom X86 hardware. In CE development mode we connect a PS2 mouse and keyboard while in product mode neither is connected and we receive input from other devices. When no PS2 mouse or keyboard is connected, the error below appears in serial output during boot and and the boot time is increased by the 5 second timeout associated with the error. Although the error output is not a significant issue, the extra 5 seconds in boot time is. I image that I could replace the driver with a NOP stub keybaord driver but then we would not have a PS2 mouse/keyboard in development mode. Is there any other solution for this short of replacing the driver?     - Printing Ascii text I want to print a file which contains ascii characters by using "asciifile.txt > LPT1:" Here the LPT1 is mapped to an USB connected printer. When this command is given, file is printed but the lines are printed as one line every 5-6 sec. At the end of the file printing the paper is ejected out but the printer seems to be still waiting for some more data which is indicated by blinking a light on the printer. Why is it taking so much time to print each line? Is there any specific command that needs to be sent to the printer to indicate end of printing?     - SA1110 vs PXA255 Hi We have SA1110 runing wince.net 4.2 based hardware, I attach this to usb and install cisco aironet 350 drivers. (latest downloaded from the cisco website). All works well and the site survey tools also function correctly. We also have PXA255 running wince.net 4.2 based hardware, again I can down install the above drivers, but this time when I try to run say the aironet client Utility all I get is a message saying it is not a valid windows ce application.     - How to backup platform builder settings Hi all I'm running WinCE 5.0 on a VIA CE PC platform. Our image is pretty straightforward and dervied from one of the standard templates. I'd like to archive (into source safe) the principle files that 'control' the build of our OS image so that, if the worst happened, we could reinstall CE and the VIA platform and be able to reliably repeat the build of our image. I'm not worried about auto-generated files, just the ones that control the build process itself. In addition to the main pbxml file in my workspace directory, there are quite a few files in WinCE500\PBWorkspaces\MyWorkspace\WinCE500\VIACN_x86 directory that seem to be involved. Also, making changes from within platform builder also affects files in the WinCE500\Platform\Viacn directory. This is a little odd as we have more than one workspace that use the Viacn platform but need different settings. Are there any other files in locations affected changes made in PB? I'd like to replace the VIA Rhine LAN with RealTek RTL8139, and not removing the LAN. I can see only This messages I debug out put "Kernel debugger is waiting to connect with target." And On serial port the messages is "INFO: Jumping to ima"...Well it should be complete "INFO: Jumping to image" like this as i found in main.c in EBOOT directory. The ADC and touch control can sample different data at different point. now my probelm is: In platform.reg, the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH] "MaxCalError"=dword:7 "CalibrationData"="1284,968 260,192 272,1760 2304,1748 2296,208" 1. Is only the Calibration of the control panel using both of the CalibrationData and MaxCalError. 2. When I run the Calibration program, it always run and donot exit. Is MaxCalError meaning it only run 7 times. 3. The CalibrationData is the five points's uncalibrating value, which are sampled and filtered in the PDD. 4. My panel's raw data is that , in the same x direction the value is not the same. also with the Y direction. Is this affecting the calibration. thanks in advance.     - Wince protect resources Hi all, I have a general question. Is it possible under Windows CE to protect resources of the system, like GPIOs, or special memory areas? I wanted to protect some areas of the system, thus application can access them directly. On our platform all CPU resources are memory mapped and with a simple VirtualAlloc/VirtualCopy an application can have fully access to that resources.     - Missing tools to install SDK (PB5.0) Hello I have installed PB 5.0 and eVC SP4. When i create an SDK from PB and then try and install i get the following dialog box : 'software development tools required to use this SDK for developing apps are not installed on this dev station .....' This dialog links to a webpage where I can download (again) eVC and some other things that I suppose are already installed or on PB5.0 CDROM. Using PB4.2 I never had those problems installink a custom SDK. What is missing ? What do I need to install my own SDK ? Any help will be appreciated.     - ietheme.dll I built a kernel for an Internet Appliance using CE.50 after downloading all the latest updates (quite a few). It would hang in booting because it tries to download iectl.dll from RELFSD. For some reason ie.bib is renaming iectl.dll as ietheme.dll like this: ; @CESYSGEN IF IE_MODULES_IECTL ietheme.dll $(_FLATRELEASEDIR)\iectl.dll NK SH ; @CESYSGEN ENDIF IE_MODULES_IECTL I also had to add ietheme.dll to the platform before internet explorer can load the msn homepage. Is this a problem? Why is ietheme.dll really iectl.dll? My RELFSD isnt working, but I am debugging that, I think it is something to do with the networking setup on my platform builder workstation.
