    - Did anybody worked on MX31 BSP? Hi, I have started working on MX31 BSP. I installed the MX31_BSP_WCE500_RTM_9.msi. When we install this installble we can get the required BSP stuff and also three sample work spaces in the PBworksapaces holder automatically. The three work spaces are 1.I300-30evbmobility 2.MX31mobility 3.MX31PMC They also given how to build these images. I builded the first two and the images are generated both in the release and debug modes.     - ISR load Hi, I have created an iisr that runs some code. A lot of people mentions that one should only run very little amount of code in an iisr but what are the consequences if there is to much code in there - and how much is to much? I'm asking because I''m facing a big problem with my driver. In my isr I'm filling a buffer and when it's full I call my IST that handles further action.     - Installable ISR without trigger an IST Hi everybody!! I'm developing a device driver and I want to do all the process in an installable ISR (it=B4s very light) and I don=B4t want to trigger the IST. Is it possible?? I read some threads about this topic and I understand that there're a problem with the InterruptDone which it's necessary to execute and it's impossible to execute in an ISR. Do I understand well?     - DHCP not renewing lease WinCE 5.0 ICOP BSP NDIS USB WIFI The device will register with the Linksys access point and aquire an IP but at the end of it's 2 day lease it show a message box saying "DHCP lease expired, failed to aquire new IP".     - USB Mass Storage Device ( Not able to open the drive) Hi, I was able to see the target as a USB device on the host PC. It was mounted as a "Mass Storage Device" on my host PC. i.e [ Drive I:\ ] But, whenever I try to open the drive I:\, it gives me the following errors (1) The Semaphore timeout period has expired (2) The request cannot be performed due to an I/O Device error.     - Citrix ICA Client for WinCE Thin Client Hello All, Using Platform Builder 5, I generated Thin Client image. I have included all components shown in wizard. I downloaded the ICA client for Win CE from http://www.citrix.com/site/SS/downloads/downloads.asp?dID=2755 link. I am able not able to install ICA client. I used thin client standard shell, Running icasetup.x86.cab file gives message "There is no application associated with icasetup.x86.cab. Run the application first and then run this file from within the application" Running cex86icasetup.exe gives error message "Can't find cex86icasetup.exe (or one of its componenets). Make sure the path and file name are correct and that all the required libraries are avaiable" When i tried this on mobile device WinCE verison i was able to do it.     - ActiveSync performance hi, are there known performance issue with activesync over usb? i run a oem device that has activesync using usb function. if i copy files to the device memory card it is much slower compare to remove the memory card to external card reader. is this "normal"? what i'm asking, is if there is idea for me to start looking for performance problems? will activesync with optimized drivers ever have same performance as external card reader? maybe the overhead of activesync protocol, or bad implementation of active sync protocol is bottleneck?     - DMA transfer in progress on SDIO on WinCE 6 Hi! I am using the Mainstone III BSP on WinCE 6. When doing stress-tests with the SDIO-driver I get an assert in sdcontrol.c: Function HandleTransferDone: #ifdef DEBUG ASSERT( pController->fDMATransferInProgress == FALSE ); #endif It is a SD_READ operation of 12 blocks with blocksize 16.     - IR Beaming not working on Windows Mobile on development board (Intel PXA) Hi All, I m trying to enable IRDA on a Windows Mobile platform. 1)I wrote a small application to check and see that raw IR is working between two of my terminals 2)Enabled IRDA on WM build. If I right click on a file and beam it or try to receive data from (beaming from another working WM device : DELL AXIM) , I dont get any IRDA data nor my device is recognized by other device Observations are, 1) I m using development board for this. I could see my serial driver sending and receiving raw IR packets properly (comparable to log I took from a working WM device) 2) I could see IRSIR miniport driver also getting and sending data properly. I have put in the right registry settings for OBEX, IRDA, IRSIR and IRCOMM. I tried a winsock application but it fails (even on Dell Axim). Since IRDA stack source code is not available, I m not able to figure out whether the problem is in IRDA stack or OBEX or winsock. Any help on where else could be a problem or way to debug this?     - Download image to compact flash Hi everybody I am trying to download an image to a CEPC:x86, via serial port (the ethernet card is not compatible for downloading) using a boot loader generated with the CepcBoot.144. What I understood from the PB help is that the image is downloaded to the RAM and I would like to download it to a Compact Flash which is set as the Primary Master of my CEPC. Is this possible?     - user service not recognized I have developed a service. This service is supposed to be loaded by service.exe. However, when I run services list; it is not listed. I have defined the services in both the project.reg and the project.bib file. The service build and creates a dll. The dll is added to the operating system image.     - MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), windows ce and usb function stack hi, I have little experience of windows ce and would be insterested in implementing MTP (media transfer protocol) on an OEM platform that i work for. is MTP supported in windows ce 5.0 or windows ce 6.0?     - My serial communication does not work! I'm developing a basic communication program in VS2005 for WinCE. I tried to transmit and receive data through COM1 but failed; even using the same code proved successfully in Windows Applications. Also, I notice the port is being used by the emulator, so other applications say the port is in use. In PB, at connectivity options, I chose Download=Emulator, Transport=Emulator and Debugger=KdStub. I am thinking to do HeapCreate()/HeapAlloc() + VirtualProtect(PAGE_NOCACHE) on allocation. That will ensure the specified allocation will be uncached ? My second problem is about page alignment of heap allocations. It seems WinCE adds an overhead for each heap allocation; is it true ?     - Generation of password hash Hello, I have built an OS design with NTLM. I can set the credentials with NTLMSetIUserInfo. When I start the device the first time I set an initial user/password information. It is stored in registry and works even after reboot. But there is a problem, when I enable KITL. The normal NDIS miniport driver will not be able to initialize the occupied ethernet adapter. The VMINI driver comes in place and gives telnet access to the device. But the credentials formerly stored in the registry are invalid. I have to set user/password (using PlatformBuilder Shell) again. This is awkward, especially since I dont have this chance, when I deactivate KITL and want to use the standard NDIS miniport driver. How is the user info related to the active miniport driver, and how can I use the same NTLM user information in both situations? I have included the debug output below. >From what I can figure out, the PC is in coredll.dll somewhere in the function xxx_setsystempowerstate(). However, I can't find this function. It's in the tpm.obj but I can't find the sources for that file. Is it not included in the CE installation (public/private code) or am I just overlooking it somehow? I use pulseEvent to signal the event, as soon as i call PulseEvent i want to CloseHandle on the event. I don't know how long it takes for all the threads to be signalled.     - copy of files in TFAT fileystem Hi everybody, I am using TFAT with a NOR Flash Media driver (under WinCE 5.0). I see that when I copy a file to the storage area in Flash, the filesystem uses a buffer in RAM before copying the file to Flash. The shell displays a dialog showing the copying process (to RAM, not to Flash). After that I am assuming that the flashing process is done in background. The problem is that from the user's point of view, the dialog shows that the copy is "ready" and probably he/she could reset the device (thinking that it should not be a problem since the data was already copied), which could happen when the file is not still flashed. It is a way to control this? I mean, for example, to modify the dialog to wait the copy to Flash instead of in RAM. Or am I missing something? Thanks a lot for your replies.     - USB Hub Hi, We have USB Hub TUSB2046 Chip connected to PXA270 and we have taken out 4 ports for accessing. I have included the OHCI and USB HID driver for mouse to the image and downloaded the image. But we are not able to access the Hub using mouse. Mouse is getting power but it is not accessible. With the same Image, we have connected the mouse directly to one of the USB port of PXA(bypassing Hub) and we are able to access mouse and a Hub of 1.1 compatibility. Kindly suggest me if any settings to be done in the Image for the Hub Chip or any drivers to be loaded specially for the Hub Chip. And also pls suggest me any Hardware related issues.     - Mismatched time stamp error... fix for emulator? Apparently when you use the remote tools PB get's confused about the date of celog.dll and makeimg stops working. Apparently this is solved by copying celog.dll to wherever PB is getting it from, which is likely to be: c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\windows ce tools\platman\target. Under the target directory there are many platform directories. Which of these is appropriate for the emulator?
