Hello

I am encountering following problem with the Mainstone III BSP released by
Microsoft on the Standard Mainstone III development board (Intel PXA27x
Processor Developer`s Kit).

When the system suspend (deep sleep) and resumed the system functions and
system GWES functions. However when we try to access the control panel or
any other applications available on the CE shell the system appears to got
stuck. However after a long time the system recovers with that application
being launched. From this point onwards system functions as normal.

Has anybody seen this issue before?

However if I use the Mainstone II BSP with (Intel provided suspend resume
patch) the system functions as expected. Hence I feel that this behavior is
caused by the Mainstone III BSP.

Can some one help me on this matter?

Many thanks in advance.

Sankalpa

Looking at the fact that it is recovering some
time later, this may be either system timer
issue or one of the drivers does not restore
its state upon resume. Perhaps one of the input
drivers like touch screen or mouse. How do you
launch the control panel or applications on resume?
Manually?

Run a debug type image and try to locate where
exactly or at what point it hangs. It is hard
to guess what is the problem without some further
details.

The Touch driver functions as expected after resume. I can touch any icon on
the desk top. Further I am using touch to launch the control panel through
Start->Control Panel.

I am observing this issue with the vanila Mainstone III BSP which I
downloaded from the Microsoft site. Has any body sean this behaviour on
mainstone III BSP on the Intel PXA27x Processor Developer Kit from Intel.

If any one of you havent sean this issue with Mainstone III BSP and Intel
PXA27x Processor Developer Kit can you send your WinCE 5.0 project you used
to build the NK.bin from this vanila source tree? Further it will be a great
help if you can tell me the switch setting you tested this BSP.

Many Thanks in advance.

Have you built a debug image to find out
where exactly it hangs?
