Under TOOLS SUPPORT there is "Visual Basic Runtimes" and it's optional for
all Windows Mobile 5.0 edition.

In your opinion, what does it mean with "Visual Basic Runtimes"?

If I'm not completely off the mark - I think that is the obsoleted eVB
runtime support for older applications. New apps should use the .NET CF and
VB.NET

It could be so.. even if I can't find other responses all around the web.

You know, I'm tring to understand what "VB runtimes" stands for because I
have some problems with some Windows Mobile 5 devices. In fact it seems
Assembly (in Visual Studio .NET Projects) doesn't work well nomore.. (what
about you?)

VB.NET uses the .NET compact framework and is completely unrelated to the
mentioned VB RunTimes. When the .NET CF came out MS stopped shipping the VB
run times in Windows Mobile device images but made it available as a
download for supporting older applications. At some point they will stop
providing it anymore.
