    - LAN91C111 driver We are experiencing a problem with the LAN91C111 similar to what would be expected of an intermediate driver that invokes the NdisMSetAttributes method rather than the NdisMSetAttributesEx method passing in the flag INTERMEDIATE_DRIVER, that is a rare but intermittent hang in NDIS. What exactly is meant by the term intermediate? We pulled the source code off the internet. Thanks I found a ridiculous comment that indicates to me that the developer was somewhat clueless: In the meantime, I suggest using lots of caution if you need to modify the mini-port handler as it seems awfully touchy. That tells me the developer never really figured out what was causing the problem to begin with, but just tried a bunch of different things, and figured that as long as his executable doesn't break, it is fixed.     - international support at ce 5.0 As I known, the english font can express european language as well. For example, only by using arial font russian language can be supported. But at my real trial, I failed to include a russian file to os image. The file name was crashed. Is there any specific way to support russian?     - Slow Image download Hi, I recently moved my development environment to a DELL XPS M1330 (Broadcom networking card). Everything works well except for one small problem. For some reason the download rate of an OS image is much slower compared to my previous desktop. the download speed is around 50% slower. I saw this problem with two different PXA270 board configurations. The setting are ,as far as I can tell, the same as the desktop's. I am using Ethernet for both the download and transport settings in the connectivity configuration menu. The standard download rate is 1.5MB p/s (compared to 800 on the DELL) and I know that the Ethernet port has works much faster with other applications. Please advise. Tag: RNDIS Client Tag: 109503

    - CFile exception: diskFull, File Unknown, OS error information = 112. PXA270. WINCE 5.0. Installed Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder - Cumulative Product Update Rollup Package (through 12/31/2006). I installed the above product rollup and the documentation for it includes 060210_KB913434 - Under heavy stress conditions, a WriteFile to a TFAT volume may sometimes return ERROR_DISK_FULL even though there is plenty of free space on the media. 060210_KB913434 - TFAT volume corrupts when multiple threads write files under the same directory. 1) if that is the case why I'm getting a disk full error when I try to write to a file from a single thread faster(46 kb file read and written back say 90-100 times continuosly). I have a lot of free space avaialble ? 2) I installed the rollup update in a different PC and I copied the entire WINCE frame to a new PC where PB 5.0 is already present. I built the OS. I hope this is ok and has nothing to do with the issue. Update for the issue will still be present in new pc even though I copied the frame and did not install in the new pc ?     - Remote tool Connectivity problem in wince 5.0 Hi, I have a problem in connecting any of the remote tool from platform builder for windows CE 5.0. If I try to connect any of the remote tool, it gives error "CESH server for Windows CE reported the following error: Unable to establish a connection with the device.     - Bootloader build problem while porting from CE 5.0 to CE 6.0. Hi All, I'm porting a BSP from WinCE 5.0 to WinCE 6.0. I have been able to successfully perform all the migration steps necessary. However when the bootloader is being built (see the build log snippet from VS2005) BUILD: [00:0000000183:PROGC ] Building LINK Pass in D: \WINCE600\PLATFORM\...\src\bootloader\eboot\standard\ directory. BUILD: [01:0000000196:PROGC ] Linking D:\WINCE600\platform\...\target \ARMV4I\debug\eboot.exe i get the following error dialog at this point: "Platform Builder OS ROM Image Builder has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." When i cancel the dialog, the build proceeds but the eboot.nb0 is not formed in the release directory. Even the eboot.bin file is of only 1kb, the length as obtained by using viewbin command shows 0. My nk.bin is generated successfully though. The same bootloader in CE 500 forms eboot.bin and eboot.nb0 properly.     - VLAN support in WinCE Hi, Do any microsoft expert know that if WinCE 5.0 support VLAN? Or is it just depend on the drivers? I had implemented set_VLANID ioctl in my smsc driver and set an ID using this interface, But my ethernet packets is still the same size as earlier and no VLAN informatin in the packet. is WinCE 6.0 supports VLAN????     - Audio Multi channel selection. Hi all, we are developinf a voip handset.our audio driver have 2 input channel and 2output channels.The out put channels are 1 ringer and 1speaker.board is pxa270 processor with wince 5.0 running on it.i have software mixer with the following regisrty settings. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Audio\SoftwareMixer] "Buffers"=dword:4 "BufferSize"=dword:1000 "Priority 256"=dword:96 so when i play a mono siganl ,the software mixer convert it into streo and i can here the sound through both ringer and spaeker. but i would like to hear the sound only through a ringer only(not to speaker) when i make a call. and the voice thorugh the speaker when i speak. my application code snippet is waveOutOpen(&hwo, 0, pwfx, (DWORD) hevDone, NULL, CALLBACK_EVENT); waveOutPrepareHeader(hwo, &hdr, sizeof(hdr)); waveOutSetVolume(0,iVolume); how can i call the ringer and speaker seperately.?please help me. can i use different device id? or is there any method to do that?     - USB Problem when using a Philips ISP1521 based hub (CE5) We are using a TI TUSB3410 USB to Serial chip and recently identified an issue when using this device with a Philips based ISP1521 based Hub. On the USB-IF Developers Discussion Forum a post was made that matches our problem exactly. This post also has a statement that Philips apparently made which states the issue is that the Windows USB host controller driver.     - SDIO on the s3c2440a Hi. I have a query regarding the operation of SDIO on the s3c2440a. I've pasted the current debug trace at the bottom. The card ( an el cheapo Inprocomm IPN2128 based one ) is detected, identified, and apparently initiallised correctly. The driver for it is loaded, and bound to ndis with no errors that I can see..     - Wince 6.0 Webserver hangs up Hi, IÂ´ve ported my project from Wince 5.0 to 6.0, after a little adaptation all excepting the webpart works fine. The project is based on the gateway template and iÂ´m using an adapted version of remoteadmin. The wizard of the remote admin starts very slow and the SetTime Page needs also a relative long time to get displayed by the browser. The browsing of my ASP pages results in hanging up the Webserver. The first ASP page was quickly displayed, but the second is never displayed. When i first choose the second ASP page then this page works but choosing then the first page fails. This is only the behavior under a release build, under a debug build the ASP pages are working. Under Wince 5.0 the remoteadmin works faster and my ASP pages works well. Any ideas?     - NK.BIN doesn't work after a reinstallation of CE 6.0 Hi, I use Windows Embedded CE 6.0 and I have a Platform and a Kernel based on PXA270 and Mainstone III. Last Week my PC died, so i Reinstall all Windows CE 6.0 Platform builder and any update (i have mantained updated the platform builder during my work). Then i take my Backup (i have a full copy of the OSDesign Kernel directory and a full copy of Platoform Directory) and copy it in OsDesign and Platoform folder. I made a Clean of thge solution and a Sysgen and i get a NK.BIN of the same size as the backupped one. So i put this kernel and his bootloader on my device. It starts but as Windows Ce appear in the monitor i see only Icon on my desktop without any string.     - Is the size of the Storage Memory limited? I am using the control panel applet "System" to adjust the storage memory. If I increase the Storage Memory to use more than 50% of my RAM close and reopen the applet the value of the Storage Memory is limited. The slider has moved automatically to the middle. On the other hand it is no problem to decrease the Storage Memory. At the moment it looks like this that I can not use more than 50% of my RAM for Storage Memory. I have 256MB RAM installed and the Storage Memory can't be bigger than 128MB. Reproduce: * Start the control panel applet "System" * Switch to the tab "Memory" * Move the slider to the right side. Use as much Storage Memory as posiible. * Close the control panel applet. * Open the control panel applet again. * If I check the memory slider I can see that the slider is moved to the middle again. So the Storage Memory is limited. This effect happens if I use the automatically detection of RAM in my BSP (function IsDram in memory.c). If I use a fixed memory configuration this problem does not appear. I am using WinCE6.0 RC2. I have never seen this effect in any of my WinCE4.2 and WinCE5.0 images. Is this a new feature? When we use System.Drawing.Point p = new Point(100, 150); We receive an exception saying that the version of .NET is invalid.     - KITL remote tools "unable to load device side components" Hi , I am configuring a new platform using wince6.0R2 on a compulab pxa270 device. I can download the image, and see retailmsg's over KITL. Next I tried the remote tools. I have put the "target control support" in the image. Done a clean sysgen. I set the connection options to "kitl transport" and "cesh server". I verifyd that shell.exe is on the target. Firstly modified the ethernet bootloader code (Now ethernet booting could be done) 2. I copied the code of kitl from 5.0 to 6.0 and created oal_kitl_x86.lib and oal_kitl_x86_boot and then linked the kitl.dll and eboot.bin with these library files 3. When i booted the board some errors are reported in serial port.     - Shared PCI NIC for KITL and NDIS Hello, I need to share a PCI NIC for KITL and NDIS. A boot flag controls, if KITL is active and VMINI is loaded. When the boot flag disables KITL the NDIS miniport driver should be loaded. When the KITL driver is active, the PCIBUS enumerator creates a registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\PCI\Instance\KITL] with appropriate values including vendor id and device id. The miniport drvier is not loaded. That's ok so far. When the boot flag is changed, the PCI vendor id and device id from the registry is found, since the NIC is still in the system. But as long as the registry key is present, it prevents the miniport driver from loading. I tried to delete the registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\PCI\Instance\KITL] but this failed with error 0x05. I try to use RNDIS client functionality of USB function client on
windows CE 6.0 but it don't want to works.

I made a .inf to install the host driver with the good vid and pid.
This .inf is a simple copy of the RNDIS USB kit 2005.

I can find the ACME Remote NDIS Network card on the computer where
the host is located but when I try to activate it xp said to me that
there was an error during the activation ...

Someone can help me?
