    - CE5 form.submit Hi, I'm running into a problem testing browser compatibility in CE5 against CE4.2. I have a series of Web pages that are served by IIS on a PC which test various aspects of HTML and other protocol compatibility in the browser. One of the test pages has a form that gets submitted by the user when she clicks a button on the page. This works fine and triggers the form action after some JScript runs on the page and calls submit() for the form in CE4.2. When the user clicks on the button, a dialog is presented from wininet.dll which says something to the effect that 'You are about to send some data over the Internet. Are you sure you want to do that?' If the user says, "Yes", the form submission occurs. In CE5, however, clicking on the Submit button that should trigger this process seems to do nothing. No dialog, although the dialog resource is certainly still there in wininet.dll, no submission operation, etc. It's as though the processing of forms is short-circuited by someone. Note that 1) I do have JScript (authoring and encode), in the image, 2) I'm using the DCOM catalog item and have Internet Explorer RPC Support in the OS, 3) I've tried accessing the test page on a server that's in the Local Intranet zone and one in the Internet zone, 4) I've tried setting all of the Internet options on the device to the most-liberal settings, 5) the QFECheck tool indicates that I have all of the QFEs for my target processor, ARMv4i. I've also looked through the registry documentation for something to control form posting, but don't see anything. Any ideas? Paul T.     - Kdebugger protocol version error Hi everybody I'm trying to launch the kdebugger furnished with visual studio. I am able to launch the board without debugger support. But when I add the debugger support and try to launch it, I received this message on my debug serial output : "KdpSendDbgMessage: Requires PB with protocol version 20 or larger" Then the board never leaves the KdInit function and hangs forever. PB 5.0 on-line help states "The ATI Rage XL Expert 98 display adapter** is the only board with a multiple monitor capable driver that ships with Windows CE."     - WinCE 6.0 remote tools issue..... hi! I am working on pxa270 WinCE 6.0 amd i am loading the image through platform builder 6.0 (VS2005) through ethernet. My remote tools were not working so after going through several posts i came to know that we need to copy the files. D:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows CE Tools\Platman \target\wce600\armV4i\ cemgr.exe,cetlkitl.dll,cetlstub.dll,tcpipc.dll.tlcvsrv.dll to release directory.. Then my remote tools started working. My problem comes here.. I am running CETK through platform builder. When i test the connection using device properties in CETK, it says connection established... when i try to connect then it is returning... "Platform Manager unable to run the application" I tried running clientside manually by giving.. Clientside /n=computername /p=5555 Then it is returning "unable to resolve the servername" I am i missing anything can any one suggest me regarding this.. Thanks.     - GDI Interface test - GPE testing Hi All, I am working on porting my GPE enabled display driver from WinCE 5.0 to WinCE 6.0. I like to know is there any changes applicable to GPE part of my display driver for this migration? I successfully compiled the GPE enabled display driver for CE 6.0. Now to test this I am running the GDI Interface test of WCETK on CEPC with CE 6.0. But while running this test I am getting following capabiltiy bits enabled for my device Capability RASTERCAPS = 75777 RC_BITBLT RC_ROTATEBLT RC_STRETCHBLT RC_STRETCHDIB Currently the test is failing and I doubt because I am getting this extra bit (RC_ROTATEBLT) bit enabled. I want to disable this. Can anyone explain me what this bits are and from where they come and how can i enable or disable particular bit? Here I am having doubt on RC_ROTATEBLT. How I can disable this? I am not getting any info on this on net or MSDN. All the capability bits are listed in MSDN under GDIINFO struct but not RC_ROTATEBLT. Why is it so? I have modified a source code of C:\WINCE500\PRIVATE\WINCEOS\COREOS\NK\KERNEL\ARM\mdarm.c In order to apply the modified source code to my os design, I should run build and sysgen. But it would take so much time. So I want to use some other way to build in more short time. I thought it would be work if I run 'build and sysgen current project' for the kernel directory and buildrel and makeimg. But it doesn't work.     - USB Speed Issue For OS Download Hi, We are using Windows CE 6.0. I am able to download nk.bin with USB Serial at Full Speed and the target boots. Our USB Controller can operate at High Speed. To Operate at High Speed I have changed bcdUSB value in Device Descriptor to 0x0200 in serial_dl.cpp and USB Controller is configured to operate at High Speed. When we switch to High Speed operation it gives following error message in Platform Builder (CoreCon) Error: Failed to download image. Please check connection settings.     - SetEvent by driver in WinCE6 Hi all, I'm trying to get a driver to notify an application of the occurrence of a certain condition by doing SetEvent on a handle provided by the application via a DeviceIoControl call. However, the SetEvent fails with error code ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE. I guess it has something to do with manipulating user space pointers in kernel space but what is the correct way around this?     - if camera driver support 800*600 resolution on wince600? Hi, I have a question about camera driver on wince600. I used the camera driver to support my camera device,and ran the cetk.It can pass all resolutions which less than or equal to the resolution of VGA(640*480).but it cannot pass cetk test when resolution is 800*600*16(bits). But the application can ran on SVGA.Why it fail in cetk?? The fail message is "Starting the capture graph failed.".It looks like the directshow cannot support this bigger resolution??It is ??     - WinCE 4.2 Platform Builder, WiFi, Need Help I just bought a used ViewSonic V210 that runs an xScale processor. I downloaded a platform image from viewsonic and installed it to make the unit like new (it was also missing a few things when I got it.) Installing this image took the wireless connectivity from my V210. I'm trying to figure out how to rebuild an image that has the wireless support and that I can install on my unit.     - Add user defined file to my SDK Hi, For some reason my (CE6.0) BSP does not add the driver-interface include-files to the SDK. I want to add these myself. I tried to follow "Adding User-defined Files to an SDK", but this leads me around in circles without providing the required info. From what I understand sofar I need to add a VBS script in a folder, which would specify the files to add. I tried using "additional folders", but it won't accept the folder I refer to (because I have no VBS there ?). I'm booting my box with CF and there is a HDD (We have geodied hence the registry geoide.reg) which is detected as 'Disk' and the CF has been detected as 'Disk1'. Everything is well and good.     - mpeg1 codec converting y41p to yuy2 incorrectly on overlay Hi there, i am working on a graphics driver. A customer of ours has an issue with one particular type of stream when played with WinCE 5.0 or 6.0 ceplayer, the output comes out corrupted... its an MPEG1 stream which eventually uses overlay with a yuyu2 format. As far as i have debugged so far, our driver seems to be doing everything fine (ddraw init, caps reporting, surface creation, lock/unlock... etc). Using other dd ovl apps and even some streams, we can get yuy2 output to appear fine. After turning on additional debug messages in quartz.dll, we know that the filter graph dump == video renderer <- mpeg video codec <- mpeg-1 stream spitter.... and we also believe that the MPEG video codec initially tries to negotiate a Y41P format which the video renderer fails and proposes YUY2. (our driver isnt aware of this event because we report dd caps as only supporting 422 packed and 420 planar formats). However when the player starts outputting the data (via successful locks and flips), its visually corrupted... but the corruption has a very clear pattern to it. Inspecting it closely, it looks like the video renderer (or the codec) is not moving to the next line properly - it looks like after copying an entire width of pixels, it doesnt increment the dest ptr by the balance of pitch in bytes, it simply continues with the next line of pixels on this same scanline (since our overlay surface pitch is bigger than the width) ... i can confirm this by hacking my driver to ensure the width and pitch is the same - which the hardware wont like depending on the dimensions - we usually let the driver dictate the pitch. when i do this, then the output looks good. Note that other streams when forced to run in yuy2 (by removing the yuv planar caps in my dd driver), work fine. I think this is unique to the possibility of a Y41P to Yuy2 conversion happenning in the mpeg1 codec. Could someone help reply to me on whether my hunch about wether this mpeg1 codec bug is valid?     - PB catalogue viewer doesn't know how to deal with #include in your PB scans .bib files to determine if the requirements are fulfilled for a catalogue entry to get checked to show that it is included (through <Module>xxxx</Module> entries in your catalogue entry). In our case we were seeing that PB failed to determine that the module was included and we got an X mark in front of our catalogue entry. We found out this was caused by including the entries for the modules through a #include file in our project .bib file. If we included the contents of that include file in our .bib PB would happily check our catalogue entry. In WinCE 5.0, a dll file loaded into memory needs 64 kB, even if it is smaller. So if I need to load more small dlls, it consumes too much virtual memory space. In Platform builder in WinCE 5.0 I can see rough OS image size. Is it possible to see this value in Visual Studio with WinCE 6.0 plugin? 3. I need to remove some files from my OS image, for smaller size. I would like to remove windowsce.bmp logo file, for example. Are there any way, how to do it in some project files (project.bib, ...)? 4. I need to add some dependecies in my BSP catalog. It can by done by setting some catalog item values, it's easy. But are there any other way? If I try to remove I2C driver, it's not naturally possible. IDE will say to remove (own, i.e. I2C driver) value, which is set by other dependent items. But I think it would be better to display the list of names of all dependent items, which this value set. Hi

I meet some question that our WinCE product need to change modes of 2
different PC WDM drivers, one is WCEUSB device and the other is USB
Composite Device , they use the same usb cable to connect PC .

WCEUSB device driver is Windows built-in WCEUSB driver, USB
Composite Device driver is provided by chip vendor. How can I let two modes
co-exist in PC Device Manager, might I add additional driver to pass
through or it should change device Schematic ?
