Hi all,

I am having problems with the password on CE.NET device. Once password
is enabled I get prompted for a password on power up and after
resume from suspend. (this is all fine) I type in the password the prompt
window goes away and the device appears to act normally. However on closer
inspection all the communication connections
have been removed under dial up networking and the pc connection is not
pointing to anything.

I am using hive based registry and Intel persistent Storage on ce.net 4.2
on PXA255, All qfe's to 2004 q1 installed.
I have tried removing the hive based registry (use ram based) and this
problem goes
away. But I do need hive based registry on my device for persistence.
Anybody got any ideas what might be causing this.

This issue has been resolved.

The following key originally had "DefaultUser"="Default User"

It should be
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init\BootVars]
"DefaultUser"="default"
So when the password is typed in , the same default user is logged back on.
