Hi

Visual Studio 2005 / CE 6.0 R2

I get the following error when I try to build an image for x86 with no
emulation.

Error 1 Catalog Id "StringTable:MS:Deviceemulator:1041" duplicated in
files "C:\WINCE600\platform\ARMSDK\catalog
\1041\deviceemulatorstrings.pbcxml" and "C:\WINCE600\platform
\DEVICEEMULATOR\catalog\1041\deviceemulatorstrings.pbcxml" with
equivalent version numbers. Ignoring second record (file "C:
\WINCE600\platform\DEVICEEMULATOR\catalog
\1041\deviceemulatorstrings.pbcxml"). C:\WINCE600\platform
\DEVICEEMULATOR\catalog\1041\deviceemulatorstrings.pbcxml 0

Can anybody explain what the heel this means.

Thanks in advance

Stewart

It looks like you copied one BSP to create the other, but did not change the
catalog file. So PB sees two catalog files with the same Catalog ID. Try
doing a string replace in the file in ARMSDK from deviceemlator to ARMSDK.

Thanks Bruce.

I did as you requested and it solved the build problem. Are there any
comlications is should expect?

However, I am unsure as to how it happened, I have not copied or used
any ither BSP other than the defs for ARM & x86. It seemed to occur
when I when I installed the full version of ce 6.0 (Having had to
uninstall r2/sp1 etc).

Anyway Thanks again

Stewart

Not knowing what you did to get to where you are not, hard to say.
