    - how to build tcpmp on ce5.0? hi? I'm trying to port the tcpmp src to ce 5.0 based x86 board. I downloaded the tcpmp v 0.72r1 src and open the .vcw project file with evc4. Of course, I installed the sdk for my x86 machine. But when I ran the build, there were a lot of errors.     - WinCE 5.0 FTP server customization question... I've been looking for a way to change the port number used for the FTP server in WinCE V5.0, and it hasn't jumped out at me yet... I can find a way to set the port for the HTTP server, but nothing so far for the FTP. Can somebody point me in the right direction on this? I'd like to change the ftp port to something non-standard so my beta-test customers don't do silly things like deleting my system files from my flash device.     - SDIO CCCR register version bug. Hi, I'm developing a SDIO card driver for wince5, I face a problem about the SDIO CCCR spec version. the CCCR spec version of our SDIO card is 1.2. But in SDBUS driver, it only read the power control register when the CCCR spec version is 1.1.( in shared code Sddevice.cpp, line 1809, and sdhceventhandlers.cpp line 553). So in our case, it won't read the power control register and the card initialization will fail. I believe this is a bug in windows CE driver. I modify that two line and my card can work correctly. Here my doubt is that whether MS have a offical fix for this issue, because I'm afraid if the bug exist in the commerical product, then my SDIO card won't work.     - How to enable SIP upon password request after resume? Hello, I enabled a password at suspend/resume. After resume, the device asks for the password. I ran a wmp playing some contents and at the moment I could see oemidle code has been called simultaneously.     - 5.0 - adding driver/file prevents boot When I add certain files to the OS image the image will no longer boot. For example when I add my Notification LED driver the kernel stops booting at the point of listing memory section. I remove the NLED driver and rebuild and deploy, and it boots fine. It boots fine with serial and ethernet drivers. If I only select the NLED driver, and not the serial or Ethernet the kernel will stop at the same place. Why wouldn't it stop with the Ethernet or Serial drivers? A file is a file is a file right? I need to be clear, it halts at kernel initialization with this additional file. Without it the kernel boot fine without error. It seems the NK.bin image is confused somehow. Any ideas?     - CreateSurface fails in Ddraw CETK test case 102(WINCE 6.0) While running Ddraw CETK test cases, we get failure in ddraw test case 102 under Wince 6.0 enviorment. DDraw surface creation is failing only for some of the formats, for rest its working.     - WZCQueryInterface Hi, Im able to successfully query a wirless interface using WZCQueryInterface. But the meida state always returns 0 no matter the actual state. I tried all the registry keys "CacheLimit" under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings \5.0\Cache" and the keys under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft \Internet Explorer\Image Caching" with different values, but it takes no effect neither with CE420 nor with CE500.     - CE 6.0 Web Server SSL Hi All I am trying to re-configure our already fully working CE 6.0 website to use SSL/HTTPS I have retrieved an advanced certificate from our local Win2003 server certificate authority and installed it on our CE device using the control panel as suggested in "How to Set Up a Server Certificate for a Windows Embedded CE Web Server" on msdn2. I also imported the keyfile (entered the password) with no apparent problems. I changed the registry settings in HKLM\COMM\HTTPD\SSL using remote registry and restarted the web server with the "services" app but the https URL does not work ("Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage") but the original http URL still works OK. Is there anything else I need to do to configure this? I assume that the "CertificateSubject" key is a string whose value should be the friendly name of the server certificate I installed? How do I install the server certificate and keyfile as part of the CE image, rather than using Control Panel on the device (our device will run in kiosk mode) ?     - Dynamic display resolution change in CE 6.0 I am working to develop a display driver that can take advantage of the Windows CE 6.0 support for changing the screen resolution dynamically. It seems there is very little documentation on this feature, other than the fact that it exists. What is the process for communicating a dynamic resolution change to the graphics system? Is there some API call needed? I noticed in the sample RageXL driver a reference to using the DrvDisablePDEV function to delete the primary surface in order to create a new primary surface with the new display resolution. But does the display driver initiate this process directly by calling DrvDisablePDEV? Or is there some other way that this is done? I assume it is unsafe to delete the primary surface while the graphics system may be using references to it, so I want to understand the correct procedure for accomplishing this resolution change.     - MDD and PDD concepts in WinCE Can any one explain about the MDD and PDD concepts in WinCE? My questions are... 1) Which one interacts with the hardware MDD or PDD? 2) Which one interacts with the GWES/SHELL/NK.exe, MDD or PDD? 3) Y I am confused with these concpepts is because in USBHID keyboard driver the PDD retrieves the scan codes (interact with H/W) from keyboard hardware and MDD sends those to GWES module. But whereas in Graphics i.e. in display driver the PDD interacts with GWES (like receives rectangle bounds for an ellipse) and gives them to MDD (i.e Graphics Primitve Engine GPE). MDD i.e. GPE draws the ellipse on the display device (i.e GPE is interacting with H/W). Here in MSDN GPE is considered as MDD and DDI is considered as PDD. 4) According to my understanding PDD is a driver that interacts with H/W. Is this correct? If not please correct me. With KITL enabled it does work This is because the DEVICEID structure isn't correctly set without KITL enabled. So I have a few questions regarding this subject.     - shortcut trouble Hi, I made 2 desktop shortcuts under CE6.0 One refers to a file on disk : \diskname\foldername\someprog.exe , it works fine. The other refers to \Windows\someprog.exe , when I press it it gives me an error msgbox saying there was an "error opening the shortcut or locating target filename" Unfortunately it does not say what the problem exactly is.... I tried to fix it without much luck sofar. The length parameter in the shortcut is a suspect, I tried several things : - specifying exact length - specifying greater length and put some spaces after the filename. - using short filename only. The question is, Can we animate the windows native operations like minimizing/maximizing windows, switching between windows, windows skins, location, and position of menu items? Hi,

I want to handle incoming phone call alert / message alert instead of it is
handled by the OS. It is just like hook my application for handling these
events rather than system.

Also is it possible to block software interrupts for some time.

Please help me.

On what OS? On WinMobile look at the phone canvas examples.

Software interrupts - what do you mean, SWI on an ARM? It is not used by the
OS.

Thank you for the reply. For Windows Mobile 5 & 6 based devices I want to
block the phone call.
As you say where I get this Phone canvas example. Is it in samples of the SDK.

Also I want to Block pop up from system.
