Hi,
I have a problem that Windows Messenger for CE (4.2) does not sign in:
"Signing in to Communications Service failed because the service is
temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I have tried it with both working ethernet connection across LAN and proxy,
and with dial-up connection. PIE works fine.

I typed my hotmail address that works fine on XP and MSN Messanger (and
signed out from desktop PC).

I build platform with included Messenger and some of Networking features.
Is there any feature that is necessary for Messenger to start working?

Debugging shows:
Exception 01f Thread=820aa400 Proc=80437f12
AKY=00000041 PC=03f694f0 RA=8226c558 BVA=ffffffff
Process 'msmsgs.exe'

Thanks in advance for any help,
Dusko

Dusko,

MSN is requiring that all clients now use MSNPv8 (MSN Messenger Protocol).
The Messenger client that shipped with Windows CE .NET 4.2 doesn't support
v8. There is a download available to update your client, please give it a
try.
