    - Folders created on the HDD are not persistence across reboots. I'm booting my box with CF and there is a HDD (We have geodied hence the registry geoide.reg) which is detected as 'Disk' and the CF has been detected as 'Disk1'. Everything is well and good. But if I create any directory or files on 'Disk' that is HDD it is not persistent after I reboot the box. What changes I have to make in the registry to solve this issue ?     - PCI to multi serial Hi all, In widows we have mf.sys(multifunction enumerator) where we can get the PDO's for default serial devices and get this stuff work.     - mpeg1 codec converting y41p to yuy2 incorrectly on overlay Hi there, i am working on a graphics driver. A customer of ours has an issue with one particular type of stream when played with WinCE 5.0 or 6.0 ceplayer, the output comes out corrupted... its an MPEG1 stream which eventually uses overlay with a yuyu2 format. As far as i have debugged so far, our driver seems to be doing everything fine (ddraw init, caps reporting, surface creation, lock/unlock... etc). Using other dd ovl apps and even some streams, we can get yuy2 output to appear fine. After turning on additional debug messages in quartz.dll, we know that the filter graph dump == video renderer <- mpeg video codec <- mpeg-1 stream spitter.... and we also believe that the MPEG video codec initially tries to negotiate a Y41P format which the video renderer fails and proposes YUY2. (our driver isnt aware of this event because we report dd caps as only supporting 422 packed and 420 planar formats). However when the player starts outputting the data (via successful locks and flips), its visually corrupted... but the corruption has a very clear pattern to it. Inspecting it closely, it looks like the video renderer (or the codec) is not moving to the next line properly - it looks like after copying an entire width of pixels, it doesnt increment the dest ptr by the balance of pitch in bytes, it simply continues with the next line of pixels on this same scanline (since our overlay surface pitch is bigger than the width) ... i can confirm this by hacking my driver to ensure the width and pitch is the same - which the hardware wont like depending on the dimensions - we usually let the driver dictate the pitch. when i do this, then the output looks good. Note that other streams when forced to run in yuy2 (by removing the yuv planar caps in my dd driver), work fine. I think this is unique to the possibility of a Y41P to Yuy2 conversion happenning in the mpeg1 codec. Could someone help reply to me on whether my hunch about wether this mpeg1 codec bug is valid? But I couldn't any document about setting dns server address for dhcp server setting.     - Out-Of-Memory UI of windows ce 5.0 does not response to touch Dear All: The OOM UI does not response to touch. I added debug message for touch down and up in PDD. And also i added debug message for touch MDD receiving point from PDD. This is used to check the point and touch flags, such as down, valid, ... etc. I could see those debug messages and they are correct, point value and touch flags are all correct. But the OOM UI does not response to touch event. I used USB keyboard and the OOM UI could response to keyboard. I could use keyboard to select which applications to terminate. But I couln't launch the DDX programms for testing DDraw ! Here the debug messages : WPCSHELL: SHRecognizeGesture found WM_LBUTTONUP, dropping out of loop... DirectDraw Debug Runtime in use.     - PB catalogue viewer doesn't know how to deal with #include in your PB scans .bib files to determine if the requirements are fulfilled for a catalogue entry to get checked to show that it is included (through <Module>xxxx</Module> entries in your catalogue entry). In our case we were seeing that PB failed to determine that the module was included and we got an X mark in front of our catalogue entry. We found out this was caused by including the entries for the modules through a #include file in our project .bib file. If we included the contents of that include file in our .bib PB would happily check our catalogue entry. In WinCE 5.0, a dll file loaded into memory needs 64 kB, even if it is smaller. So if I need to load more small dlls, it consumes too much virtual memory space. In WinCE 6.0 this problem is gone, right? Can anybody explain why? I know new WinCE 6.0 memory model but are there any changes in rules of dll loading? 2. In Platform builder in WinCE 5.0 I can see rough OS image size. Is it possible to see this value in Visual Studio with WinCE 6.0 plugin? 3. I need to remove some files from my OS image, for smaller size. I would like to remove windowsce.bmp logo file, for example. Are there any way, how to do it in some project files (project.bib, ...)? 4. I need to add some dependecies in my BSP catalog. For example, I have I2C driver and drivers for keyboard and display attached to this BUS. If I add the keyboard driver, I2C driver must be added automaticaly. It can by done by setting some catalog item values, it's easy. But are there any other way? If I try to remove I2C driver, it's not naturally possible. IDE will say to remove (own, i.e. I2C driver) value, which is set by other dependent items. But I think it would be better to display the list of names of all dependent items, which this value set.     - Duplicatehandle Hi, I have a pxa270 BSP that was probably ported from Wince5 to CE6.0. The GPIO driver allows me to set interrupts on a GPIO pin. But it is not working. After investigating I found that the InterruptInitialize() in the driver failed with code 87.     - SDIO CCCR register version bug. Hi, I'm developing a SDIO card driver for wince5, I face a problem about the SDIO CCCR spec version. the CCCR spec version of our SDIO card is 1.2. But in SDBUS driver, it only read the power control register when the CCCR spec version is 1.1.( in shared code Sddevice.cpp, line 1809, and sdhceventhandlers.cpp line 553). So in our case, it won't read the power control register and the card initialization will fail. I believe this is a bug in windows CE driver. I modify that two line and my card can work correctly. Here my doubt is that whether MS have a offical fix for this issue, because I'm afraid if the bug exist in the commerical product, then my SDIO card won't work.     - 5.0 - adding driver/file prevents boot When I add certain files to the OS image the image will no longer boot. For example when I add my Notification LED driver the kernel stops booting at the point of listing memory section. I remove the NLED driver and rebuild and deploy, and it boots fine. It boots fine with serial and ethernet drivers. If I only select the NLED driver, and not the serial or Ethernet the kernel will stop at the same place. Why wouldn't it stop with the Ethernet or Serial drivers? A file is a file is a file right? I need to be clear, it halts at kernel initialization with this additional file. Without it the kernel boot fine without error. It seems the NK.bin image is confused somehow. Any ideas?     - CreateSurface fails in Ddraw CETK test case 102(WINCE 6.0) While running Ddraw CETK test cases, we get failure in ddraw test case 102 under Wince 6.0 enviorment. DDraw surface creation is failing only for some of the formats, for rest its working.     - CE6.0 KITL Problem.... hi! I building workspace for arm pxa270 wince6.0 Image was built successfully. But when i try to load the image through the platform builder. and enabled "Enable KITL on boot device" flag. My image is not loading. when i clear the flag my image is booting.     - WZCQueryInterface Hi, Im able to successfully query a wirless interface using WZCQueryInterface. But the meida state always returns 0 no matter the actual state. I have set the size of the device info structure, set the devicesearchtype to 3 (search by guid) and passed a pointer to a guid. I have also tried seraching by name and passing a string "*".
