Hi.

I'm a bit of a newbie; to platform builder.

I am experimenting with CE 5.0 building a CE PC.

The CE project that I created is based on the internet applicance
profile. & I am building the project on the same PC that I intend to
make as a CEPC.

I have a PC with the following installed:
Ne2000 network card
dual IDE HD's.
Vesa compliant graphics card.
1394 card.
Soundblater Live (and onboard motherboard audio).

My boot freezes up about 20 drivers into the boot process.

How can I get debug information; + what could I be doing wrong?

Just wonder if im am missing something obvious...

hi,
try building the image with an emulator.
there would not be any problem, i believe.

try and find out where exactly the loading fails....
make sure that you have installed the Ethernet driver properly...

Thanks for advice.

But I still think Im missing something. If I compile for emulator it
works fine. However If I compile for a CEPC then boot of a floppy it
fails to start (i.e gets about 20 steps into the boot before the
screen goest blank and that's as far as I get).

Is their anything obvious that I should be looking for, to give me
clues into why this is happening.?

hi,
then the probable problem could be with some drivers.
make sure that you are adding all the drivers, which are
all there in your target pc, not your development pc.
make sure that the display, and Ethernet drivers are added.
still if it is not working, try with a machine, which is bit old,
if it works, definitely, the problem will be with the display driver.
try this, hope it'll work fine.
