Hi All,
I require to put some resource files needed by the application in a definite
folder structure as part of my nk.bin. eg i should have a "dll" folder and
"resource" folder in "my device".

I am able to create folder and am able to copy specific files from my
windows directory to the specific folders using .DAT files.
But by using .DAT files, it is only possibe to COPY files. But i dont want
to Eat memory by keeping a the same files in the "windows" directory as well
in the created directories.

Is there any way of doing it better? Will .lnk files help in this case?
Any inputs regarding this is most welcome
regards
Ajith

You are correct, you can only copy files. Which begs the question: why do
you need this structure? It sounds like a plan that was devised prior to
understanding the OS. Now that you understand the OS better you should
reconsider.

Of course lnk files help, but I have never tried them with dlls.

Thanks for the Input. I think i have to go for a flat directory structure now.
One quick clarification.
If application require a particular file in a specific folder, creating a
.lnk for that files and putting it in the required folder help?
Beacuse what i understood is .lnk is just like a "shortcut" in windowsXP.
Am i correct?

I don't think so, but heck try it, that would have taken about the same
amount of time as posting this question.
